So, the late weekend into this week has been a bit of back and forth between the good and bad. The weekend actually started off with me almost getting into a stranger's car accidentally. (That's the short version. The long version is just as funny, for everyone who's not me, of course.) I figured, "Meh, not a good start."
But, as noted, it's been a balancing act, really -- mainly in the world of fandom.
So, Christina Applegate gets diagnosed with breast cancer. I adore Christina. I adore her newest show Samantha Who?. She's so talented. She's actually like a talented version of Cameron Diaz. Luckily, it seems they've caught it in time. But still. Girlfriend's boyfriend passed away very recently from an overdose. The Powers that Be are very questionable.
A bit of Schadenfreude always helps the days pass, though. The Twilight fandom is now being a wee wanky and RETURNING the latest book because they were unsatisfied. I'm sorry, but I just find that hilarious.
And in another turn, I read earlier about Morgan Freeman's car accident. :( I love you, Morgan! It sounds serious, but no sign of anything critical. *fingers crossed*
And, turning once more (dizzy yet?), the Young Horrible videos have almost 100 subscribers. Most of which come from today. I was confused as to what was causing the influx, and then I found out we got linked on Dr. Horrible's Twitter here:
http://twitter.com/drhorrible So, now I leave you with a query:
Should I get a Twitter? I don't know. I don't really know of anybody who'd read it or anything. But it does seem fun. And it seems like all the cool kids are doing it. I think my sisters would appreciate it, too...
ETA: We're now at 101 subscribers as I type this...
