Sing a Sad Song and Make it Better...
So, some of you may be happy to know that I have a doctor's appointment scheduled for tomorrow morning for the sore throat. It feels like the soreness/inflammation/what have you has moved up even further. It feels like it's just below my tongue right now, which leaves me with this sensation that there's something in there I have to swallow it, but during a fever/pain spike, if I swallow, it feels horrible. So, more tea and popsicles for me today. I haven't left the house since Sunday. With parents like mine, cabin fever takes only a few hours to set in. I feel up to driving a little, so I might do a food run as an excuse to get out.
I watched Bright Young Things a bit earlier today. (Thank you Netflix. And also thank you julianathursday for numerous exchanges on the topic of David Tennant.) For those who haven't seen the film, take a quick look at its IMDb page. Done? Good stuff, right? With Stephen Fry at the helm of a truly outstanding cast, how could I not watch this thing? It was truly delightful. I love how there's this little British clique of actors/actresses who appear in everything (at least everything that I watch). Just another thing the Brits do better, as most American acting cliques I see have about three untalented people for every one person with some actual talent in the gang. Hee, the film not only provides you with David Ten-inch in a bushy stache with the name "Ginger" (and hair to match! Oh, 10 would be jealous of...himself?) And the actress who played Agatha Christie in The Unicorn and the Wasp was in it, too! I was like "Oh hai thar Agahta Christie!" And her character in the film was also named Agatha. So, I was 150% right in a weird way.
I also have Shattered Glass to watch. I've been meaning to see it for some time, thanks to zzb for reminding me about it. It's been a while since I had my fill of Sarsgaard in a film! So yay! Oh, speaking of Mr. Sarsgaard, I promised cassieology a link to the pics of his and Maggie's little girl Romana. Instead of digging out a link, I just went and found pics myself. So, here's a pic spam of the little cutie Romana:
