I bought Skyrim. I couldn't help it - it was half price in the Christmas sale! I can't play it... I'm still trying to work my way back through Mass Effect 1 and 2 before 3 comes out in March. And I'm in the middle of playing Fallout with all the DLC. And I still haven't got around to defeating the Archdemon in Dragon Age Origins.
WHY DO I HAVE SO MANY GAMES? I love them all.
Getting used to Mass Effect 1's controls again was awkward. I never appreciated before exactly how much they improved the shooting aspect for 2 before. Especially the ducking and covering. It's so damn difficult to get my Shepard to get into cover, and then to shoot properly from it, and moving from cover to cover is a nightmare. But in 2 it flowed beautifully. I liked how the weapon mods were simplified as well. I can't be bothered with constantly niggling away at altering little details on the guns. One thing I am NOT looking forward to however, is the return of the phenomenally boring 'planet scan' system of resource acquisition. I heard Bioware released a patch to speed it up because it was pissing too many people off. I hope so, because I loathed it bitterly.
