Note: omg. Where have I been? Blargh. I’m sick. That’s it. FUCKING SICK. I really can’t write when I’m sick.

Originally supposed to be something completely different. I just couldn’t get it to flow~~ right. And then this came out. Yeah.

Also, for shindong_weekly’s second prompt, Because So Much Is Riding On Your Shindong.

The day is like any other day. Heechul is loud and demanding and Eeteuk is busy in making sure that everyone is prepared. Sungmin is off in his own little world and Eunhyuk can’t stop fidgeting.

Relaxation is something Shindong finds easy today. He likes preforming in front of people. He loves having a chance to show his fans what he can do. After hours of hard work and late nights he basks in the attention that they all receive when they’re able to show everyone what they’re capable of.

He doesn’t quite remember what happens. He knows this dance, he knows the routine and what he’s supposed to do. He’s not sure if it’s his body demanding rest of if he hasn’t practiced enough but he soon feels his ankle give out and twist in a way ankles aren’t supposed to twist.

Sungmin is soon at his side and he can hear the fans shouting his name. He’s sure he hears some booing but he’s not quite sure. Stage crew are soon out and they help him off the stage. He’a sweating and feels dizzy and his ankle really hurts.

“You’re lucky you didn’t break anything,” the doctor says. “Just rest and keep off of it for a few weeks.”

A few weeks.

Dancing is something that Shindong has always had. That’s what he does. He dances. His singing isn’t on par with the others and his rapping has never been a focus, everything depends on his dancing.

“Don’t worry,” Eeteuk reassures, always the leader. “We’re just glad that it’s not serious.”

Their manager is slightly disappointed, there’s no hiding that, but he shows sympathy non the less.

Shindong feels useless.

He sulks around the dorms with nothing to do. TV bores him and he finds himself watching videos of himself dancing when on the computer. Everyone is busy, they stay home and keep him company when they can, but it’s not often enough.

“Does Super Junior even need me?” Shindong wonders out loud one night.

“Yah, you’re such an ass for thinking that!” Heechul yells from the other room.

“Heechul’s right,” Sungmin says. Shindong’s head is resting in his lap, Sungmin’s small hands running through his hair. “A lot depends on you.”

Two weeks of being housebound cause him to roll his eyes at this.

“I’m serious!” Sungmin says with a frown as he gives Shindong’s head a playful hit. “We all miss you, especially me.”

Shindong finds delight in the small kiss Sungmin gives him.

“You two! Stop being so fucking sweet,” Heechul pouts as he enters the room. “Stop showing off just because my piece of ass is all the way in China.”

“Heechul, you’re horrible.” Sungmin frowns.

“Yah! Yah! Stop using your sweet as fuck charms on me!”

“I’m not doing anything!”

“Yes you are! And you know!”

“Shindong! Tell Heechul to stop being so mean to me!”

“I’m not being mean!”

Shindong smiles and decides then that Super Junior needs him just as much as he needs them.
