Seeming pointless to post, but I have little else to do except work, and who wants to do that when they've just gotten home from work?
I work a lot. But I enjoy it. That evens out, right?
This Sunday, we're doing intercepts at Warped Tour and they're trying to get me to come along. I'm pumped. Should be a nice day of work.
I suppose there's some basic information that needs to be explained:
I'm living in Boulder for the summer and working in Gunbarrel (north Boulder). The drive to work includes gorgeous mountains. On the way home, I watch the Flatirons get closer and closer. I live about a 5-7 minute walk away from campus and can make it to Pearl Street (pedestrian street with lots of shops, restaurants, bars, etc) in about 20-25 minutes. I live with 4 other interns-Tommy, Ben, Kyle, and Fabian. We're a strange little family but its fun. I spend a lot of time with these guys, though we all spend so much time working that it still isn't tons of free time. We try to make meals together when we'll all be home and we go on adventures every weekend. There's about 25 interns so the whole motley crew does their best to join us on said adventures, or at the very least, out for the evening on the weekends.
When the internship is over, things get weird. (Bomb dropping, hold on tight) I don't want to come back to Minneapolis, not just yet, which is unexpected to a degree. There are two grad programs I'm looking at, one of which is at U of M. I'm considering agencies in NY, Boston, Chicago, Richmond, and possibly a few other cities. I haven't gotten an offer from the agency I'm at currently but who knows, might happen. I've only been here 3 weeks, anyway.
We don't have internet at home but we can sometimes steal from the neighbors, so I'm outside right now in my backyard on the picnic table writing. It's about 70 degrees and a little cloudy. I'm currently reliving a bit of yesterdays festivities. My housemates and I had a cookout with about 20 other interns and friends--good times were had by all. Fireworks were pretty and such. Makes me think of last years 4th of July festivities, watching fireworks in Neil's backyard. My stomach hurt the next day from laughing. What a great night.
This is getting rather verbose. More updates in the future, perhaps. We'll see. Miss you all.
