Finally came around to changing the ducting for our dryer vent. It was originally vinyl coil type thing with a few torn holes in it. Did a little research and found through
this site that the best kind of vent to install is a smooth surface rigid metal duct. The hardest part was assembling it all in place.
Decided to install a heat keeper (the white box in the middle of the duct) while I was at it. During the winter, it helps to heat up the room, and during the summer, you just flip the switch and the heat vents directly outdoors!
Total time: 2-3 hours
Total cost: ~$60
Also tried to fix a broken outlet, but that didn't work.
