Ojos de Brujo
This is one of the cds I listened to most this summer. And I listened to a lot of cds while delivering mail. Can say you get tired of the Titanic soundtrack pretty damn fast. But anyway, this one I picked because of the gorgeous cover when I was in the library. Had really no idea what kind of music it was before I put it in the cd player, but it ended up being quite awesome indeed, even if I can't understand a word.
Apparently the name of the band means "Eyes of the Sorcerer" and the music they play is "jipjop flamenkillo" (hip-hop with little flamenco). Or so wikipedia tells me. I've only listened to this one album, Aocaná, but it is my wish to find the other ones next. On that fateful day when I am not too lazy.
The booklet that came with the cd had the lyrics in English as well but I don't have it with me now so the meaning behind the lyrics shall forever remain a mystery.
Anyway, it's great summer music so listen to it. Even though it's not summer anymore.
