Hehe, in a very very odd mood. Listening to Bon jovi for a start, whilst reading some god awful porn someone gave me when clearing out their bookshelves about a year ago. Remembered it today when discussing the finer points of how the hell they produce certain genres of porn without fatalities. It works well as a door stop and the occasional giggle. Yes, that is the level to which I am avoiding revision. I make procrastination an art.
I think this is the first day since Beltane well and truly sapped my life essence that I have felt my energy levels remotely returning. It was an absolutely amazing night. It was wonderful to enter the character on the night and carry it with me the rest of the night even once we had dropped out of our fawnish personas. Though it damaged my horns a little the rain later in the evening couldn't quell the atmosphere, I was on such a bounce. Realised body paint gives me a lot of self confidence, like painting on a different me. Being the scribbley type I think I always wish I could paint myself to look how I feel inside. It always feels a wee bit awkward as you initially start painting up, bearing all with the rest of the performers but as soon as I have my skin condition covered I feel so much better. Guess I don't realise from day to day how much it affects my self esteem. Topless- no problem, bare arms- run and hide. My priorities are a wee bit confused.
Anyhoo, despite a little back pain the performance (even on the stilts) felt amazing. It seems there’s no photos caught of the stilts fully dressed on the night which is a shame, but was chuffed with how they came out. Took quite a bit of work but well worth it. Planning on making some leg covers for them in the future in a paler silvery fur for a larp as opposed to the fire goat daemon look. Really like having goat legs, any excuse to wear them.
I'd say I’m glad to have my life back after Beltane but I don't. Exams are a loomin. However, when they are done in two weeks time I can look forward to two fabulous balls of fuzz and poinging. Yep. I'm able to get two ferrets (they're father and son) thanks to the fabulous flatmates I live with (Jen is the coolest FlatMaster TM ever!) and Kat's rekindled love of the scuzzies! I swear she squeaks in excitement as much as I when we talk about ferrets :P So very happy about this.
Shall have to get some photos of Beltane up soon and of the weaselybeasts later!!!
