A few days out of the smog...

I'm tired, I feel a tad sick and I’m very happy.

Well- happy is a sufficient word, but I think more content and accepting is the better description.

Have had a great few days, no- weeks. Though due to my flacid brain meats I’m having trouble recalling further back than about 10 days. Ahhh, old age.

I went to a wedding of two friends a weekend ago. Had a really great time, a really gorgeous venue and a later reception with an open bar (£1000 behind it) so as you can imagine it turned into quite the knees up. I was pleasantly tipsy by the end of the night, I had worn a skirt, blown bubbles, flirted ridiculously and rounded the night off with a spot of DS9 and drunken cuddles. All was well in the world of Sneaky.

The week continued with my parents away from home in the Isle of Mann visiting family. I had the house to myself for three days and the usual sweet taster of independent living space was on the menu. I had a relaxed few days- swam a bit, hosted a watching of Our Friends in the North which was a giggle, did some work on some art projects and realised that my better work is most often when it is being purposefully made for someone or an occasion. I get a great gust of drive- though this took a temporary set back when I realised a cock up on the background and started again.

I then visited friends for a birthday celebration which was great fun. There was a very fun BBQ, though I sadly concluded the night with a gastric disagreement with the drink and proceeded to have to be put to bed, feeling a little pathetic, but I was second to last technically to leave the party!...technically. I wandered around a whimsical castle (the stuff of knights and dragons and all) that really grabbed my imagination and left me with a bee in my bonnet to visit as many castles as I can in the next year. Oh, and found a great love of the card game Munchkin! I ate Baklava too!

I met up with my dad whilst not-so-north and we spent a few hours together before I caught a train home. It was nice to see him, really seems like his life is moving forward after a period of stagnation I was worried he was stuck in. I can't remember the last time I saw him so happy and animated. He's growing young disgracefully is the best way to put it.

I got back into Newcastle with time to change into some formal gear in the station toilets before off again this time to Durham. Had a really lovely meal- best food I’ve had in... well, actually- I’ve indulged in some pretty good cooking recently, but this was damn good. I woke this morning feeling cosy and summery, despite the weather, to then find I’ve finally got my accommodation confirmed for next year at uni. Its a poop-hole, but it'll be my poop-hole.

Life is good. I know not for everyone, but it's always polite to give a gift-horse a smile of appreciation every now and then- and so I am. Anyone who would like some of my HappyTM, just let me know- cuddles and sunbeams at half price whilst stocks last!
