The mundane continued.
Got new glasses finally after about 2.5 years. I had an exam and a new prescription (as eye sight was worse) about a year ago but never got around to getting it filled. So, I went at least a year with a less than ideal prescription and these new lenses are about 3 steps lower than my last prescription (biggest jump ever). Putting them is wonderfulllllllllllllll. I get all kinds of something I can only explain as neural kindling as my brain tries to process the richer visual input: color,light,details, etc. This stuff that just hasn't been in my life. It gets me artificially high for a day or two until my eyes adjust to actually having details in my life. My old pair had a nice metal frame but they didn't bend with my head so I always had these indentations above my ears. The new ones are a softer metal and shouldn't press as much.
I am very much not enjoying the Dark Tower comic series. The plot seems to be moving slowly and there's not too much character exploration. At least this (second) volume has thus far been all new material about what happens after Wizard and Glass and prior to the fall of Gilead but there just doesn't seem to be anything happening. I want moreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
