Story of A Girl

Cloudy, rainy days are different than bright and sunny days for her. Sunshine tends to make people happy, as it does her. Cloudy, darker days, however, are capable of causing her to remember a lot of pain. Pain that no one is aware of, but her…
She’s endured quite a lot through her life so far. She’s succeeded in a several things, and failed in others. She’s learned a lot about herself, a lot about others, and continues to learn everyday. The only thing that is different in this story, is that there’s a lot about her that not a single person knows about; she’s kept more secrets from those who love her because she’s afraid of being rejected and not finding true happiness.
She grew up a normal life as a child. Her parents loved her and her sister more than anything in the world. She loved spending time with her dad. He always made her smile; no matter what he did. He took her on some of the most memorable adventures of her life. Trips to the park on the motorcycle, going for a walk down the street with the dog, or an outing to the carnival that was in town for the week; they did everything together. She looked forward to his return home from work every night; and said goodbye to her mom as she went off to work a night shift. She remembers being in the car with her mom nearly every day, usually when they were on the way home from the babysitter. But, spending time with her dad is what she remembers most vividly. At that time in her life, everything was perfect.
She grew up quickly, much faster than she or her parents had expected. She survived elementary school, even though she had trouble with other kids making fun of her. She made it through middle school where everyone hated her for no apparent reason, and where she started to develop anxiety and depression without her or her family knowing. She got through high school, but with the help of some amazing friends to help her as she struggled with that anxiety and depression quite frequently. She felt loved by those (besides her parents and sister) around her for the first time in her life. She started finding out what kind of person she was, and started the journey of who she wanted to become.
Here she is going through college day by day. She misses her family, her friends from high school, and all her memories of her childhood. She doesn’t care so much about the time between the ages of ten and fourteen. Those were bad years for her, and her family. Her problems caused problems within the family. She was very sick during those years, and got even sicker as she neared age eighteen. She’s been a strong person through her life, and she cared about herself enough to figure out how to be healthier. She continues to take care of herself better every day; and works to improve her life as she moves through it.
She’s more different now than she’s ever been. She’s not sure who she is anymore, and struggles to find out. She’s the girl you see standing off in the distance; the one that surveying the area, and wondering if anyone can see her standing there. She’s afraid of meeting new people; afraid of what they may think of her. But, she doesn’t show it. She’s the girl who’s never had a boyfriend; or even a first kiss. She’s not afraid to be friends with guys; she has a lot in common with them, but hopes one day she can call one more than a friend. She cares about what she looks like more than others know. She hates when guys say girls are hot, mostly because they’ve never said that about her. She cusses like a trucker when you cross her, and even when she’s just frustrated. She doesn’t like being treated like crap, and isn’t going to let anyone treat her or anyone she knows like crap. She thinks that her bestest friends from high have forgotten about her, and now she’s on her own, all alone. She’s easily annoyed by stupid, rude, and disrespectful people. She cares more about others than she does herself, which can get her into trouble at times. She loves her family and friends with every part of her being, and would give up anything for any one of them, including her life. She’s more determined to succeed, and more passionate about everything she does than anyone that you will ever meet. She’s extremely logical and lives realistically, but still has an imagination and is very creative. She loves to read, write, and listen to music. She isn’t afraid of being by herself, but a friend to keep her company is always nice. She can sit with you in silence, and feel comfortable as opposed to awkward. She’s the girl you don’t see too often because you don’t look hard enough. She’s someone you’ll never know unless you try, and once you do you’ll love her for who she is.
