Hi everyone. I realize I haven't made a significant post in, oh....five months, but I'm coming to you with deep heartfelt appreciation for what I just saw last night, and before we start picking it apart in our methodical, but-they-did-this-in-the-book manner (which I don't do anyway because because film is subject to a completely different set of

Okay, I know I am in the minority, but I have to express my concerns for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. To begin with, allow me to stress that I KNOW IT IS AN ADAPTATION...BUT, when PoA was able to include so much more I could not find space in my heart to forgive what the director did to GoF.
To begin with:
DUMBLEDORE
This was may favourite character in both the books and movies...I love him in the first, second and even third movie...but my view of him was shattered in GoF. Since when is Dumbledore always yelling, since when does he have a complete lack of humour that Rowling intended the character to have, since when does he sit on his office floor and voice his concern that he 'does not know what to do'? The notion of Dumbledore NOT BEING a steadfast, wise, controlled character is absolutely ridiculous!
Please remember that Dumbledore is the guy who talks about freaking Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans at the most ridiculous times! He is supposed to be so quirky....but ALSO you are supposed to feel safe when he is around. In the books Dumbledore is a character that offers comfort no matter what, that is why his death was so terrible.
Let's remember that the ENTIRE wizarding community looks to this wizard for guidance. I'm sorry, Dumbledore's character CANNOT be trashed like that.
Other Concerns
-Moaning Myrtle NEVER (I repeat) NEVER tries to snuggle with Harry (borderline grope him) in the Prefects bathroom!
-Madame Maxime is a large, BEAUTIFUL woman (not tall and bucktoothed)...and FURTHERMORE, she DOES NOT EAT the crust in Hagrid's beard!
-Lord Voldemort is EVIL...he embodies absolute fear...he does not casually chat with his Death Eaters, and he would never allow Lucius Malfoy to stand up and look down at him while speaking. PERIOD.
-Draco Malfoy had virtually no part in the movie.
-Hermione's role has divorced from Rowling's Hermione...I have grown to be okay with this, but I think GoF stepped a bit too far.
-Whatever happened to the 'look of triumph' on Dumbledore's face when he found out Voldemort used Harry's blood? THAT IS HUGE TO THE BOOK!
-SPEW...it wasn't there.
-The Dursley's were not there.
-Rupert needs a freaking haircut, as do George and Fred.
-The music was considerably weaker in this movie. Bring back John Williams.
-Krum is NOT ALL ABOUT PHYSICAL...they needed to show that Krum had a heart.
-Snape's character wasn't really there
-I miss the classes at Hogwarts.
-The maze could have been much better....the only thing that could really "change their lives" were the attacking shrubs...
-The movie had good sets, but it was WAY too choppy.
-The whole SPIRIT of Hogwarts was gone.
-I miss Hedwig.
-Sirius is not supposed to look like a piece of toast in the fireplace.
Things I Thought Were Good
-Harry crying over Cedric
-Dumbledore's final speech
-Computer graphics OTHER THAN the Beaxbatton carriage
-McGonagall...I LOVED HER
-Daniel Radcliffe's acting...he is just a cool guy overall
-The way Voldemort looked.
