- The Sox put Papelbon back in the bullpen. We need a great closer, and he's it, but another great starting pitcher would be nice too. (I still refuse to call Papbelbon by his fan nickname "Pap" because it sounds like it will precede the word "smear".)
- We signed this huge Japanese baseball star to our team and gave him a cool nickname: Dice-K (only because we Americans can't pronounce his real name). He was supposed to be our best starting pitcher. Is it me or is Tavarez pitching better than him? (Eh, okay, not really.) And why the frag did we spend $100 million on him? (Apparently, Dice-K has to get used to a smaller baseball, a smaller strike zone, and get over the culture shock. Nice excuses but stop sucking, D-cock.)
- Wakefield has the best ERA for a starting pitcher on the team, but he has a losing record because the Sox batters can't fraggin' hit on his game days. It can't be only Mirabelli f-ing up. Poor Wakefield. I heart Wakefield and his knuckleball pitches!
- Did you see that? Tavarez actually pitched a decent game last week - with strike outs! Hot damn!
- Julio Lugo is 6'1"! He looks like a Speedy Gonzalez midget on tv with his pants hiked up (I had assumed uniforms weren't made small enough to fit him). I cannot believe he is over SIX FEET TALL!
- We still have Clement, but he's on the DL for many more months - thankgod! He's been hit in the head one too many times.
- The Sox didn't sign Clemens. Good! 'Tis better for us fans to continue hating him.
- The Sox currently are the only team in the AL East with a winning record.... but we're still months away from the All Stars break. Gulp!
