On conversations
Ever heard that every conversation eventually involves nazis?
Well welcome to 2009, where every conversation eventually turns to Harry Potter.
Sometimes I feel somewhat blindsighted by this.
Today I was sitting in the common room while people were having a conversation and suddenly we were talking about harry potter. I'm not even all that sure how we got there.
But right now people are discussing Dubledore.
This is a room of intelligent college students. But of all the topics and issues we could be discussing. Were talking about Dumbledore.
Still, I love my world. Because face it, harry potter is always more interesting than homework and its easier in general to talk about things that everyone agrees with than anything else.
Point. I should be doing hwk right now. I need to read the fucking oddessy tonight. But instead I'm writing a live journal post about harry potter.
But hey, its 2009.
