So I got to thinking after my last post that, well, nobody likes a whiny, complaining person. Even if they seem to think there is a perfectly good reason for it.
So my apologies to those who could have cared less, those who might have been offended, and anyone else in general. Of course, it was what is was and can't be taken back so unfortunately all I can say is take it or leave it be offended or not.
Work has not been the only thing keeping me busy.
School has started back up. I originally was to take 2 classes and that was what I signed up for. However, after seeing the psychology assignments and their due dates and the stuff needed for accounting, I decided that was unwise at the moment. Too much going on and too many chances of missing assignments. So now I am taking just the psychology class which so far is really interesting. I am really enjoying the format of the class. I am still taking online classes which sometimes can be more involved than regular classes and sometimes not. It doesn't help that I am trying to do homework and take test after the kids go to bed and before going to work (still in the midst of one child). Therefore I have a lot of late nights and early mornings (can you say damn that school bus).
I have taken on a role of responsibility at my church. I am the Childrens Ministry Co-Director. It involves lots of budget juggling which is a good thing I am the organized type and the accounting classes are coming in handy. Right now we are in a busy season of planning with having just had our Childrens Ministry sign-up fair (which was being planned and all as I was working our volunteers for the children's section of the library fair) and our upcoming Fall Festival. And of course who can forget the upcoming Christmas season. We are in the midst of the fundraisers we do such Operation Christmas Child. BUt I love it all. I also am a Sunday School teacher for 3rd/4th grade, an Awana leader for k-2nd grades and the Wednesday Night Kids on Mission program. In between all that I help in the nursery once a month and in Children's Church once a month. All this adds to my busy stressful life but seeing the kids and their faces and how much fun they are having while learning is worth it. Kinda makes up for not homeschooling my boys anymore.
Things are really busy with my husband's job. One of their plants in Nashville went on strike at the beginning of the month and are still on strike. So they have been sending people out there off and on. We just found out that my husband will be leaving on Sunday to drive to Nashville with a few other people. They say to expect a month but could be as long as 3 months. They are paying for everything as far as I know but I should know more about this tonight. It won't be the first time we have had long abscences. After all, he was in the Army for the 12 years we have been married except for the last two. The only difference is we have a small one now but nothing I can't handle.
We are hoping we can get a cheap but good used car from this money. It would really make things easier especially since our current car has decided to become the biggest aggrevation of all. Can't quite call it a car from hell because that is reserved for "Christine". That still gives me shivers.
Must go, the internet is deciding to be a thorn in my side. Oh, the love/hate of technology.
