Fun fun fun now that daddy took the T-Bird away...

A cold, soaking day yesterday introduces me to really the next big reason I hate DC. The gallons of useless people really aren't so bad until you consider the fact that you can't escape them, at any hour, on any road, because they innundate the stupid hole. And when you get called by a doctor and social worker and they tell you something to the effect that "You should probably leave work early and go see your mom because you might regret it otherwise," this gets a great deal more aggravating. Yesterday, at about three o'clock, I was imagining writing this about how she'd passed on, but luckily, the fever broke, and she woke up from what I guess could only be called a light coma. She apparently has lots and lots of infection, and not a lot of means to fight it, as it has(or they have) gotten resistant to antibiotics. The doctor kept going on and on with dad and Robyn that "You must think of the quality of life you're offering, and hospice right now is still an option, and blah blah blah" right over her bed as she was going in and out of consciousness. Luckily, I was paying attencion to her at the time, and she looks at me and three times demands "I want to live!" And at that point I throw all of them out of the room, interupting the doctors tirade in the process (woot) and basically and in not so many words tell him to piss off. She will continue to have a full code until I say otherwise. And some chick Ann, whose one of mom's "friends" got all huffy about it and demanded that the doctor explain what intobation (sp?) was. Sadly for her, the tubby bitch, I had already seen mom in such a predicament and knew that she knew what she was getting into. (Whew, got some crazy sentence structure in this one) So, Mom is still kicking, and it is unknown how long she may or may not have, but the fact that a good deal of family got to see her, and well as a lot of her friends, makes me a little happier about the whole situation. I got to drive for about eight hours yesterday and the day before as well, with very little sleep for the past week! My fortitude is the shit! Come on bullets, lets get it ON!
