so we had matt's going away thing yesterday. it was broken into two parts, because some people were available in the morning and others in the evening; i ended up at both. it was a little sad, a taste of what's to come in a couple weeks. toward the end, we got all nostalgic, which doesn't really happen much. just talked about the movies we've made and the stories we've written and the bands we were in.
but yeah. it's going to be a little difficult to see him now. the places i'm likely to come back to visit on occasion are austin and dallas, but he'll be out in lubbock. we're still going to try and meet up at some point, at least once a year. hopefully more often.
one of the ideas was to meet up for a weekend and go on a crazy filming spree, just knock out everything in a couple days. i kind of like that idea. instead of going to a bar and reminiscing about the past or catching up or whatever, we'll be doing new stuff. or another interpretation would be that we'd just be doing the same old thing.
