school daze
well school is slowly coming to a close.
including today, we have 3 more classes plus 2 days of finals. You know what that means for me? only 5 more trips to baltimore! well 5 more trips for this semester...then the summer semester starts up without any kind of break...so that means about 28 more trips to Baltimore then I am officially finished driving to the dreadful state of Maryland. HORRAH! I applied for graduation. Even though I will be graduating in August - graduation is only held once a year and it won't be until the following May. Oh well. I figure I will walk at graduation because it will be the first college that I have finished. I will have an Associates in Mortuary Science. After August, I will start my internship that lasts one year. kind of shitty but oh well. Then I have to get licensed by the state board - about $150.00 then I have to take the National Boards - $500.00. Lord knows how I am going to afford those tests but oh well. It will be nice to have some sort of income since I have been living on student loans for years. I figured out that my loans are only $30,000 and now I have to try to consolidate them. Not sure how to do that but I suppose I will figure it out somehow.
Hope everyone is doing well. I have been busy with school and then on the weekends, I relax with Herb.
By the way....Bube's Brewery is having another bridge benefit for the covered bridge that was burnt down that the county won't rebuild. We are raising the funds to do it so COME ON OUT MEMORIAL DAY SUNDAY! You should all have off work the next day (unless you work at a funeral home or a hotel - damn places never close) There will be a cover to get in but I think it's only $5.00 and the bands are playing from 4-close I think. Let me know if you are interested.
