OK so when I was talking to Herb last night, I was getting slightly irritated...but I didn't realize how upset I was until this morning....this whole Katrina thing...good God!
He was telling me about quotes from some people...I just need to share them with you...
Celine Dion said on Larry King Live..."Oh, they're stealing 20 pair of jeans or they're stealing television sets. Who cares? They're not going to go too far with it. Maybe those people are so poor, some of the people who do that they're so poor they've never touched anything in their lives. Let them touch those things for once."
WHAT THE FUCK?! from my understanding, she comes from a poor family with like a billion kids. I guess when she married the old man...she was able to "touch those things for once." Ugh...it still gives me the chills. How can people be so fucking stupid?!
But the worst of all...today in the paper, they have a quote from Barbara Bush...the lovely mother of our president...just get ready for this one...
"And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this is working very well for them."
My mom said she had to read it like 3 times to make sure that she was reading it right. Again...WHAT THE FUCK!? Young girls were being raped as they went to the bathroom. They were laying in their own feces and watching their loved ones die. Gang wars were going on....WHAT THE FUCK!?
I don't even want to find what our wonderful president has said on the matter...we all know that he hasn't done anything....
