I was under the impression that almost all of abstract concept's work had been taken down, and the note on the profile page for this community says the author requested that it not be shared

Now can SOMEONE post Rakina's stuff on AO3 as well? Someone on snarryficfind said she doesn't mind if her stuff is shared, so I don't understand why it has the status Ask-me-for-it-and-I-will-send-you-what-I-have. -_- Fanfics are supposed to be free and DAMN IT! I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO A SLOW READ OF HER SNARRY AND THEN SUDDENLY IT'S ALL GONE! >_< UN-FAIR!!!!!
And Raewhit. There's no way Raewhit is her real name, so WHYYYYYY can't her stuff be available on AO3 under "Raewhit?" DAMN IT ALL! IT WAS SUCH A GODSEND, ALL THOSE LOVELY LOVELY SNARRIES! SNARRY CAN'T DISAPPEAR, DAMN IT! *is very sad all of a sudden*
*Wishes somebody would also post Raewhit's and Rakina's snarries on AO3. Does not care for the non snarries. EW. * :D
No, Rakina doesn't want her fic shared online. She is happy to have it sent via email though. She doesn't want it public anymore. There are important real life reasons for this.
Is Rakina the person's real-life name? Because if it's not, there's no problem. This is mostly a privacy issue, but who cares that fic exist under some name not connected to a real-life name? 'Sides, the only name I keep fic under is the online anonymous one, and well, they sound NOTHING like RL names. It's always stuff like cutesypie4u, so whatevs. No harm done, no foul.
Fanfic authors can have various reasons for no longer wanting their stories posted online. We should respect that since they are, after all, the owners of their stories. I get that people want their favourite fics to be available online forever and ever. However, things can get messy when real life and online life collide and it's totally understandable that some authors want to avoid that.
But if RL does NOT collide with the fandom? If anonymous stays anonymous? ;) Is Raewhit a RL name? (Because it would be really funny if it was^^). Because if it's online-only, and worlds would NOT collide (a la in that Tom Cruise movie), there is no damage. =)
I think there is some WIKI somewhere that is dedicated to connecting online people to their RL selves, but good luck connecting a face to a name like foxy_mama_likes_a_spanking. I'd want to watch that just for the inevitable failure of the end result. :D
Has it ever occured to you, that one's RL acquaintances may somehow accidentally find out one's online name and what they're doing in the fandom? Please don't say that RL and online life would not collide, since it's never true.
......If it's that important, why not just RENAME THE ANONYMOUS ACCOUNT? To a brand spanking new name? WITHOUT A PROFILE PAGE? (I know *I* couldn't care less about profiles, all I ever look at is the fandom.^^)
A couple of people did rename themselves, this is quite possible to do.
It's just such a loss to lose quality fanfic.
Why not just ask a friend to host the fic on their own (LJ, AO3, whatever) page? BECAUSE THIS IS IMPORTANT, DAMMIT! >_< The crap fic can disappear (coughNONSNARRYcough), I don't care 'bout that, but damnit! NOT THE GOOD STUFF!
Ooooooooor..... OMG OMG OMG OMG Make account, post all fic, then.... TA-DA! Delete account and orphan the fic. :D IT'S A COMPLETELY BRILLIANT PLAN! (I think the Author will be named as "Orphan," which is like Anonymous, but exotic-sounding.^^)
The problem with that is that the person who wrote the fic, owns that fic and no one else should be posting it anywhere without the explicit consent of the author.
Since we already know that Rakina only wants her fic shared by email, that is only what's allowed. She doesn't want it posted online anywhere and we should respect that. It is her decision, no one else's.
She doesn't want to do the renaming thing, she is out of the fandom. Again, that is her decision to make, not ours.
rant/ Gosh, if I'd known it was going to kick up such a shit-storm, I would have kept my happiness at discovering abstract concept's work was online again to myself

Hello, If you could possibly send me Rakina's fics, that would be much appreciated! It's okay if you don't have the time though. It's snarrylover@mail.com Thanks!
