Hi, everyone!
There are many sides to Severus Snape we all love, but there are some I think haven't been explored as much as others.
In book 1 he first gives that wonderful speech and then at the end we encounter another rather artistic piece of writing i.e. the rhyming logical riddle that is snape's protection of the Stone. This shows that not only can (and does, with pleasure) Severus use language as a weapon/defence mechanism, he also appreciates the poetic side of it and is at least to a point able and inspired to create poetry and/or prose. Those traps were quiete characteristic of the professors and what does Sev's say about him? Potions (protective, destructive and gourmet? I don't know, is nettle wine any good?:), logic (I know these sort of riddles aren't that hard to solve, but how hard are they to create?) and poetry.
So, do you know of any Snarry (or possibly maybe even gen) fics that show Severus as (original) writer/poet (it may be a published book or scribbles at the bottom of his old school trunk or a (love) poem/letter (to Harry)...), not just quoting Sheakespeare at an opportune moment ;) ?
Uau, now I can't use another bracket for a fornight at least! :-p Thanks!
