Challenge 27 - Touch
It had only been a year since he was watching a similar service by the lake. This time, he was allowed to participate in the service rather than watch from the forest.
The lid to the white tomb opened to show Harry in full Gryffindor colors in the eternal sleep. One by one, all passed to give their final respects. Severus was last and stoically approached the silent young man.
He reached in and caressed Harry's pale cheek with the back of his fingers, and the shock of the cold skin was too much. Severus fell to his knees weeping.
