I admit one of the things I was really anxious about when I saw the challenge was writing something poorly and negatively influencing someone's view of the artwork -- so I'm really happy to hear that you liked it and find it goes well w/ the image : ) Thank you!

Took me a while to find the picture, but it was so worth it!
yukipon really is amazing...

Your drabble captures the surreal feeling of the image perfectly. Lovely!

Oh definitely! There's such emotion in Yukipon's art -- I love how an image can be so light in color, and seem so gently put down, and yet elicit a whole range of emotions/reactions. Ie. the sweetness and subtle angst in the one I selected.
I'm really flattered, given how much I love yukipon's work, that you feel I've captured even a little bit of it's magic. Thank you! : )

The picture... I'm not honestly sure how/where I first saw Yukipon's artwork -- most likely at one of the archives, given that it was one of the first Snarry fanart pieces I saw ( It was probably on detention). I do remember it taking a long time to figure out what name the artist went by...
I'm rambling -- If you're interested in more of Yukipon's art there's lots of places for more. Aside from the site linked to for the pic. I used, if you go to Yukipon's lj info: http://yukipon.livejournal.com/profile you'll find a link to the artist's website, and where to go on lj for worksafe or nws pieces.
If you haven't already gone through all the images on the orig. site I mentioned, and if chan is okay by you/your area, I strongly rec. the 'cake and a cup of tea' pictures (same path as for the drabble pic, just select cake and a cup of tea instead of IYAP).
