Played this over at seaislewitch's LJ and totally stole it from her. I hope she doesn't mind, but it was hard to pass up. **lurves her**

With a single line of prose, rock bands became icons. Guess the classic song and the band. In addition, just like QI, tell me something interesting about the song/artist or tell me an interesting anecdote about the song from your past. The winner with the most interesting fact/anecdote will receive a drabble in the pairing and with the prompt of their choosing.

These are from the 60s and 70s with one exceptional song from the very late 80s (which is easy to spot):
