Jorge’s birthday was so unexpectedly amazing last night!
We went with the “dinner then drinks” type of evening but it was anything but ordinary. Tons of people were out socializing and enjoying the warm fall night. It was the perfect premise for good times.
Jorge, Humberto, Eileen and myself first went out for sushi and sake. I ate grilled asparagus and rice (and snuck some of Eileen’s salad). It was delicious. We saw a large group of middle-aged intellectuals laughing and talking at the center table. The kind that wear handmade jewelry and know all about economics and post post post whatever. It was cool.
I like being envious of people who are older than me. It gives me hope.
After buying Drumsticks from Safeway and collecting Alicia, we went to Elbo Room. We drank Blue Moon and Prohibition, and had lots of fun talking, taking pictures and mingling with the drunkards.

We found some ratty “cougars” on top of a to go container and proceeded to pick them up and well…
Next we met these guys who happened to have four boas with them, so...
we got all fabulous and shit.
Finally we made it into the elevator and up to my apartment to talk, dance and whatever until the wee hours of the morn.
