I'm going to Melbourne for work this week, so just because I'm paranoid about flying always do it,

In other news, went to the Big Day Out on Friday and had an awesome time. Saw tons of great bands including Jet, Evermore, Eskimo Joe, My Chemical Romance, The Killers... the list goes on. Drank 8 bottles of water andonly 2 beers, managed not to get sunburnt in 100-degree heat and only lost my sunglasses (not my shoes, thank goodness) in the mosh pit.
There are far too many good concerts this year. Got tix to Wolfmother for Easter Monday, going to Evanescence on Feb 13 and really want to get a ticket to Pink before her third concert sells out as well. Gah. So many good shows, so little money. Not to mention the Sound of Music with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra performing the score live - that's at the Adelaide Film Festival in a couple of weeks.
What else?
Oh, thanks to everyone who voted for me in the OWL Awards - I was lucky enough to score two firsts and a third... and had to re-read two of the stories to remember what I'd written. *shakes head* I've definitely been out of it for a while.
Congrats to all the others winners as well - the list of stories has some of my old favourites and some new ones I'll have to check out when I get back into reading again.
And how could I forget to mention July 21? Enough said. Would have been cool if it could have been 7/7/07. Ah, well.
