Summer was concerned about Marie since she skipped the ABG meeting last night, so she decided to stop by in the morning to make sure she was okay. She even brought the bunny in case Marie needed cheering up.
Madeline was frustrated after the events of the previous evening and she was beginning to wonder if any of the men around this place were worth her time. The knock on the door perked her up though. Maybe it would be a cute boy. She opened and door and sighed when she saw that it was a girl. Drawing on her host's memories, she realized that she should know the girl. "Hi, Summer."
Summer gave Marie a small smile. "Hey. Everything okay? You missed the meeting last night."
"I had other things to do," Madeline replied.
"Oh," Summer said. "I was a little worried. And then I heard things on the radio...Just wanted to make sure you were okay. Did you and Jamie have a fight or something?"
"Radio?" Madeline repeated, unsure of what that was. "And Jamie proved to not be worth my time."
Summer frowned. "Sorry to hear that. But I brought a bunny. So if you need cheering up or anything, he is here for snuggling purposes."
Well, that was unexpected. Madeline wondered if people here often brought sacrificial animals to their friends. She reached for the animal. "Hmmm, yes, he might do nicely."
Summer handed him over. "Well, like I said, he's good for snuggles and relieving stress."
"And rabbit's feet are a symbol of good fortune," Madeline added, running a finger over Pancakes' head. "I only need three of those though."
"Need three of what? Huh?" Summer asked, confused. She eyed Pancakes a little nervously.
"Feet," Madeline said. "You can have the other if you like." She gazed up. "I just need to find a very sharp knife and the proper herbs for the consecration ceremony."
Summer meeped and quickly reached for Pancakes. "There will be no cutting off of feet!"
Madeline sighed and handed the bunny back. "Fine."
Summer immediately held him close. "I get that you are probably upset, but making jokes about cutting off his feet? So not funny."
"Who was joking?" Madeline asked. "I'm not sure what other use a rabbit would have."
Summer stared at Marie, appalled. "What is up with you?"
"What are you referring to?" Madeline asked, unfamiliar with the phrase.
"You're acting weird," Summer replied. She was starting to wonder if Marie was bitten by a gremlin or possessed.
Oh, here we go again. Madeline sighed and muttered a word in Latin to make Summer forget that she thought anything weird was going on.
Summer blinked. "What were we talking about?"
"Nothing," Madeline said. "You were just leaving."
"Yeah, I have a class soon anyway," Summer said, feeling very confused for some reason. "Talk to you later, Marie."
"Bye, Summer," Madeline said. This was getting worrisome. She, Isobel and Briana needed to find the stones to get their full power before someone tried to stop them.
Summer turned to leave, feeling like something was off. She considered talking to Chris about this. Maybe something in that witchy book of his could help.
