[There... is a lot of shattered glassware and a cowering warp stalker when the PCD turns on. It's like a tornado's blown through the place and rent everything apart. [The nightmares, the myriad of types of wounds, the identical remorse of Harry - and of course, her communication with him this morning. It all makes sense.

It takes a few moments, but then her voice is there, low but even.]

Only in that my self-control was stripped away.

[Along with the only thing that kept him moral.]

I assure you that if one were to anger me enough, I would not be any different from how I was.

I don't blame you, or the others, and neither should you.

For being so weak.

[If she can't even protect herself... how is she supposed to protect her friends? Her brother? How is she supposed to destroy Naraku? How is she supposed to make any kind of contribution to her team? She never realized exactly how easy it would be to kill her individually, and it's hitting her hard. I guess InuYasha is carrying more of the burden than I thought he was...]

You were up against five magic-wielders with no morals.

Even one magic-user with morals would have done me in... five was just quicker.

It is still uneven.

So is pretty much every other battle I've fought. In a case of total equality, there would be no victor.

It still isn't an excuse.
