Someone should just write me a fic based on Samuel being a new student and hitting on Kurt like crazy and jealous!Blaine because jealous!Blaine is the best okay.

Samuel was a new kid at McKinley high school, having transferred from California with his family to start his father’s new business. Samuel wasn’t really sure why it involved them having to move almost all the way across the country, but whatever family did was for the best, right? And honestly, McKinley couldn’t be that bad, and he was sure to make friends. Making friends had never been hard for him.
Walking down the hallways, Samuel was looking at his schedule, pushing a dreadlock out of his vision when he felt himself bumping into a solid form.

“Oh, I’m sorry!” said a high voice, and Samuel turned to see a pale young man looking up at him with clear grey-blue eyes. Samuel liked what he saw.

“Hey man, it’s totally cool. You can bump into me anytime you want,” he said with a grin, pushing back the dreadlock that always seemed to be in his way.

The brunette in front of him let out a high chuckle. “I really don’t think that would help you or myself with our coordination,” he said. He moved his arm forward, holding out his hand to shake. “I’m Kurt Hummel, and you must be new.”

“Samuel Larsen, and how would you know that?” asked Samuel, taking the hand in a firm shake, holding it for a little longer than socially acceptable.

“The fact that you’re wearing something other than a polo and have dreadlocks certainly makes you memorable, so where are you from?” Kurt asked.

“Cali, born and raised,” answered Samuel. “Where’s a guy get into music around here? Any coffee places, jam sessions?”

“The only coffee places around here are the obligatory Starbucks and the Lima Bean, and the latter is definitely better. As for jam sessions, there’s a glee club, are you interested?” asked Kurt excitedly. “We can always have more members!”

“Well, if you’re there, I’d definitely be interested,” said Samuel, taking Kurt’s whole ensemble. The guy wore pants tighter than his, and they looked sinfully good on him.

“Kurt, there you are!” A voice called over the crowds, and Samuel saw Kurt instantly perk up.

“Blaine! Where have you been?” asked Kurt, smiling at Blaine with a look Samuel knew was more than just platonic. Well, that didn’t mean anything yet.

“Well, for a little pick-me-up, since you stayed up studying last night, I got you coffee,” said Blaine, brandishing a coffee cup.

“You know my coffee order?” teased Kurt, and Samuel could sense there was something behind that, but that didn’t mean they were dating, right? Still open.

“Blaine, this is Samuel. Samuel just moved here from California, and he’s interested in singing,” said Kurt.

“Well, who wouldn’t be with Kurt here in it? I bet you have a great voice,” Samuel complimented, grinning at Kurt.

“You don’t even know, though. I could sound terrible,” argued Kurt. “Come by glee club this afternoon, we’re having a meeting, get to know the crew.”

“Well, if we’re getting to know each other, I’ll be sure to be there,” said Samuel, taking Kurt’s hand for a brief shake.
As Samuel walked off, Blaine glared at his back. “What are you doing, Blaine? Why are you boring holes into his backside?” asked Kurt, looking at Blaine with confusion.

“Didn’t you see what he was doing…?” muttered Blaine, continuing to watch Samuel leave.

“Doing what? Talking? I highly doubt that’s something to be against, Blaine, you and I do it all the time.”

“But not like-! Never mind, I’m just reading too much into it,” said Blaine with a sigh. Blaine looked to Kurt and smiled. “You want that coffee now?”

“I’d love it if it came with a kiss,” said Kurt. Blaine handed Kurt his cup and quickly pecked Kurt on the lips.

“I’m saving the rest for later,” grinned Blaine. “I’ll definitely see you later, okay?”

“Sure thing, have fun in Lit,” called Kurt as Blaine began to walk off.

“You made it!” said Kurt excitedly as Samuel showed up in the band room. “Guys, this is Samuel Larsen, he’s new to Ohio and McKinley.”
“Do you have a bird that lives in your hair?” asked Brittany.

“Ummm, no, not that I know of,” answered Samuel, looking at Brittany for a moment.

“If I had your hair, I would. You’d have a built-in songbird,” she explained. “Santana, can you do my hair like that later?” Samuel saw a Latina girl shake her head no, and begin to pat Brittany’s hand.

“No hun, I like your hair, let’s keep it that way, okay?”

“Anyways, it’s great to meet you Samuel! I’m Mr. Schue, are you interested in giving an audition right now?” asked the teacher, looking gleeful at a new prospect.

“Hey, sure, I’m down with that. Can I see a few of you guys first? I’d especially love to hear Kurt,” said Samuel as he looked over at Kurt appraisingly.

“Sure, no problem,” said Mr. Schue as he clapped Samuel on the back. “Come take a seat.”

“Mr. Schue, if I may?” asked Blaine as he raised a hand. “I’d like to say something first.”

“Uh, sure Blaine, go ahead,” said Mr. Schue with a confused look.

“Kurt is my boyfriend, so he’s off limits,” said Blaine with a big smile. “So stop staring at him like he’s a sexy guitar, or whatever gets you off.”

Samuel shrugged, a little upset that things hadn’t worked out. “It’s cool man, if you’re dating, you’re dating.” Samuel looked around the room and eyed the chocolate-colored girl that was sitting next to Kurt. “There’s always someone else to set your sights on,” he said with a grin.
