Painting
Sorry I haven't posted much of anything these last few days -- I'm painting my apartment, and that's a bit distracting. I had to devise a nifty ladder system to reach my concrete ceilings (I don't want to get paint on them, so I'm taping the edges) -- my tv stand, under a short dresser/table, under my kitchen step stool -- it's much sturdier than in sounds! But I have to drag it around so that I can reach everywhere, which is tiring. Right now I'm about 3/4 done -- the kitchen and living room are finished, and the entry way's first coat is drying right now. My bedroom is next, and then I'm all done!
When I first rented this place, I asked if I could paint (white walls make me feel like taking a red marker and splashing my name all over them like a manic grafiti artist) and they said I could, but that they might ask me to repaint them when I moved out. Well, at this point, I'm thinking that I'll just go ahead and write off my security deposit -- painting around these exposed pipes and high ceilings is a pain in the but. Once I'm done, I'm done!
And once everything's back in its place and the paint's put away, maybe I'll FINALLY be able to post the next few chapters of Broken Mirror -- like you haven't heard that before.
