15 Books Meme
You're not supposed to think too long or too hard on this one. List 15 books you've read that will always stick with you -- list the first 15 you can recall in 15 minutes. Don't take too long to think about it. Then tag 15 friends and see if they write their own lists (part of the challenge is to think about which 15 friends would have the weirdest or most interesting book list).

Hounds of the Morrigan  by Pat O'Shea
Winter Rose by Patrica A McKillip
Tripoint by C.J. Cherryh
Riddle-master of Hed by Patricia A McKillip
Fortress in the Eye of Time by C.J. Cherryh
Song of Arbonne by Guy Gavriel Kay
Dead Beat by Jim Butcher
Maniac Magee by Jerry Spinelli
Villains by Necessity by Eve Forward
Foreigner by C.J. Cherryh
Night Watch by Terry Pratchett
Eye of the World by Robert Jordan
The Burning City by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle
Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
The Dragonbone Chair by Tad Williams

I'm not actually surprised that these are almost entirely fantasy novels.  That is what I love, after all!  Several of them will never be considered great literature, or even very good books, but I've read them all multiple times and enjoyed them immensely -- the stories are stuck in my head.

There were several books that really should have been on that list -- their plots/characters/scenes -- even the cover of the book! -- popped immediately into my head, but I just couldn't think of their titles or authors.  Oh well.  It's not like I can REALLY narrow down all the books that will stick with me to 15.

And since I tend to adopt particular authors and read everything of their's that I can get my hands on, it would probably be easier to think of the authors whose work will most stick with me, whether or not I'm still reading their books.  So, just for fun . . .

Of course, this doesn't even COUNT all the manga artists/writers I have on my shelves . . .
