Slept in today, a bit, since I had the closing shift. Wore my plaid skirt and my blue sweater:
That's Sanji on the bed.
I stood and waited for the elevator for probably too long before noticing it was taking too long:
In my defense, i was wearing my headphones and couldn't hear the sound of the guy moving furniture out of the elevator on the third floor. Oh well, taking the stairs is good for me.
Dropped off a bag of glass on the way to the bus stop:
I'm really glad this is parked within walking distance -- although it would also be nice to have a place to drop off cardboard and aluminum.
Work was long and emotionally fraught -- the sort of trouble that involves friends in relationship trouble that I can't really help with, besides offering hugs and a space in my office for them to compose themselves. :( It made dealing with the public, and the way they ransack my store, just that much harder.
But someone brought lilacs for the customer service desk! And the scent really is calming. It helped, having it there.
And once the ravaging hordes were gone, we could get the store back together. It really is a very nice place -- I think it's lovely, even now when I notice all the dings and stains and shabbiness.
Then I didn't feel like waiting for 20 minutes at the Plaza bus stop, so I walked up to QuikTrip for a snack. (there's another bus stop right near it) These guys are outside some condos on the way:
I don't know why there are metallic silver sheep on this fountain? But I kinda like them.
On the other end of the bus line, the Marriott hotel, resplendent in its garishness.
My iPhone doesn't really capture the color very well -- this was all bright blue and red and purple.
Bought a giant Monster back at that QuikTrip -- though I decided it would be a bad idea to actually drink it, this late. I don't crash as hard after drinking these as I do with Red Bull, but it'll still keep me up far too long. I'll drink it tomorrow.
And now, to bed!
