#42 Blueberry Hill, Thursday

Nov 08, 2007 14:30

Piper was sitting at the dining room table with her laptop, still researching loans so she can open a restaurant. She was very determined to get this done. She tried not to let anything distract her.

[ooc: open for any housemates or anyone else who feels like stopping by; I'm booored.]

Dean walked past the dining room, paused, then backed up to stand in the doorway. He took a deep breath, about to say something, then shook his head and turned to keep walking, then stopped again, then hesitated, then cleared his throat, then changed his mind, then stopped. . . .

Hey, what do you want? Piper intimidated the hell out of him.

Piper glanced up from her laptop. "Hey Dean."

"Heyyyyy Piper," Dean forced a smile. "How's it going?"

"Trying to figure out how to get a restaurant open," Piper replied. "Oh, have you seen Lana? Is she back to normal?"

"She is. Woke up freaked out about it, but she's okay, now. Do you know what happened?"

"An accidental spell involving a yearbook," Piper replied, shaking her head. "I cast a reversal spell. Sorry Lana was freaked out about it."

Dean shrugged. "Probably not your fault. She just went abruptly from hating guns to needing one as a security blanket."

"Oh. Well, I'm glad the spell worked," Piper said. "They couldn't stay like that."

"Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that." Dean sat down a bit heavily in one of the chairs. "So, you're gonna open a restaurant, huh?"

"I'm hoping to," Piper replied. "It's always been a dream of mine to open one."

Dean nodded. "Cool. . . . Don't suppose you wanna teach me how to cook some things?"

Yeah, that was real smooth, Winchester. Way to work up to the question. Yeesh.

Piper wasn't sure she heard correctly. "You want me to give you cooking lessons?"

"Um," Dean fidgeted in his seat. "Yeah? I mean, if you wanna. Just . . . all I really know how to cook are spaghettios and instant mashed potatoes. Can't have Lana cooking for me the rest of my adult life, you know?"

"I think that can probably be arranged," Piper replied after a moment of thought. "I can at least teach you how to make real mashed potatoes."

The instant kind made her shudder.

"Lana actually prefers the instant ones. But, hey, whatever you wanna teach is totally cool with me."

Piper didn't understand how anyone could like the instant kind, but it wasn't her business. "Okay. Just let me know when you want to start."
