Piper had spent most of yesterday hidden away in her room after her doctor's appointment. It was just a consultation in which the doctor asked her many questions, including a few personal ones. Now, she was sitting on her bed with her laptop, researching more about her supposed condition.

Wyatt poked his head into Piper's room. "Are you making dinner tonight, or is it fend for ourselves...you okay?"

Piper quickly closed the laptop. "I'm fine. I can even cook. Anything in particular you want?"

"I'm easy," Wyatt said, eyeing the laptop. "Spaghetti or something quick is okay with me."

Piper stood up, already headed for the door. "I think I can handle that."

She could probably use the distraction.

Wyatt lingered in the room, waiting until Piper had started downstairs before he moved over to the bed and opened up the laptop. He frowned when he saw the page she was looking at, then remembered that his world's Piper had told him about the difficulty she'd had conceiving, which must've somehow healed itself because after he was born, Chris soon unexpectedly followed. Maybe he'd healed her in the womb or something, because he was cool like that.

He shut the laptop and followed after Piper. "So," he said, leaning against a counter, watching Piper pull out the pots she needed from the cupboards. "What were you looking at on the laptop? You closed it so fast it was like when I walked in on Chris surfing porn."

Actually, most of the time it was the other way around. Most of the time.

Piper was not expecting that question. "I can assure that is not what I was looking at."

"I know," Wyatt said. "I peeked."

Piper stopped what she was doing and just stared at the floor, trying to figure out how to respond. She couldn't exactly lie about it now.

"You had no right to do that," she said quietly.

"I'm sorry," Wyatt said. "But I could tell something was bothering you. Does it help to know that the Piper in my world went through the same thing?"

Piper thought about what he just said. It was definitely something she needed to hear. "She did?"

Apparently things worked out well for that version of her.

Wyatt nodded. "She told me she and my dad were having a hard time getting pregnant and was really stressing over it, and then all of a sudden she was. And after that came Chris without even trying."

"Well, that's actually encouraging to hear," Piper admitted. "I wasn't trying to in this case. I just wasn't feeling well and the doctor at the clinic sent me to a specialist. I know that's potentially one of the complications. And I'm not exactly trying to get pregnant right now. Just thinking about the future...Good to know it works out for some version of me."

"You'll be fine, Mom," Wyatt said. "I'm proof of that."

Piper smiled. "I hope you're right. Guess I'll find out when I have this procedure next week to find out the severity of this."

She wasn't so sure things were going to be fine. Wyatt wasn't going to be born in this universe. She knew that, but she didn't want to tell him that.

"I can try to heal you," Wyatt offered. "I'm not sure how it will work on something like that, though."

"I'm not sure that would work, but thanks," Piper said. "Do you mind keeping all of this to yourself for now? You and Veronica are the only two who know. I especially don't want to worry Phoebe with this."
