Waiting on FedEX, though there's no way in hell I'll try and set anything up today. Anyway, while we wait, let's discuss the week.

This week SC dumbass governor finally put on his big boy pants and issued a stay-the-fuck-at-home order. Possibly because the news was having an absolute field day with guessing why he was being such a spineless, useless tool about it. Possibly because after however long, he finally realized you cannot rely on common sense to keep people away. See: the beaches the weekend they kept flipflopping on whether they could open them or not. People swarmed the beaches and the residents (justifiably) freaked out.

Uh, some jackass cut the lock off the pool gate so even if the HOA had decided to give us our pool back, they won't now. I won't really be bothered til maybe May, I hope, and even then I'm not sure how much I trust the pool to not be a germ infested playground, you know?

I finally got through to an old coworker that I've been trying to reach since a little after her birthday. I feel so bad for her. I thought I was calling her cell number, but I guess I called the house, and her husband picked up. I asked for her and he asks, "Kathy who?" Then he snarls at me that he'll get her but basically to not call again. Which is... weird because her husband and I have gotten along in the past (he's not my favorite person, but I think I sent them a sympathy card when their cat died and for years after he was very nice any time I called or saw him). I was worried this meant that their rocky marriage was definitely in the danger zone and yup. :/ She refuses to leave because it's her house and having spent the last however many years going through the hell of trying to help her parents get situated after they sold their condo (apartment?) and moved into an assisted living place and how badly that turned out... well, it means she's not leaving her house. I hope she's careful. She sounded so unhappy. :( I wish my brother remembered her, or that she remembered him, as they live pretty close to one another. But my brother is, above all things, a hothead and I don't want to throw that grenade into an already dicey situation.

I've been debating whether I'll take advantage of the Zoya earth month sale. Prior to the computer issue, I had every intention of doing so because they threw in free wide brushes and their travel version of their gellie cure system that they've been hawking for the last however many months. I'm curious about it but not enough to fork over the cash since I'm not exactly in the market for freakishly long lasting polish.

Ordered an Easter wreath for my door from Target. Mom's right in that it would look better against a different color. I say a purple door and she's willing to concede I might be right. Alas, HOA and also renting. Ah well. I like the wreath anyway.

And now I head off to sleep.
