I'll be updating this as I go along, I think. We'll leave Luci's post as is and make this the catch-all for the other things. Probably.
We're starting with Tenney's new stuff because it's the least amount, I think, and pretty self-contained. For whatever reason, AG decided to go and make mix-n-match stuff for Tenney but it's a very odd assortment.
Tenney's Split Front Dress // $15
Item#FLR85
Tenney feels like a star in this gorgeous deep-red dress that sparkles in the spotlight; it has separate layers of tulle over the skirt for extra fullness.
You say red, I say pink. I... eh? I think the idea could have worked if they'd stayed closer to their obvious Taylor Swift inspiration but nope. Instead of just making this a full on dress, they went and made it mix and match and it just seems very unfinished. The top seems very plain, though it's possible that if jazzed up with accessories I'd like this more. Also, and this shows I have NO fashionable bone in my body, I want desperately to pair this with big ol' black boots if they insist on using the black shorts for this. Then we could go less pop-Taylor and more vampire hunter or something.
Tenney's Tour Shorts // $10
FLR83
These glossy black shorts add a touch of glamour when Tenney’s onstage.
I'm not sure I'd call these glossy, but I do like them. If nothing else from this round of releases for T, I think I'll pick these up.
Tenney's Fringe Top // $10
Item#FLR82
Tenney loves to wear this sleeveless top when she performs; its fringe swings and sways when she moves!
Uhhh.... no. Just no. So much no. I loathe fringe in general. Which is a shame because this color is beautiful.
Tenney's Concert Tee // $10
Item#FLR84
Tenney is thrilled to be going on tour, and even more excited to wear her very own concert tee! There are cute music graphics on both the front and back.
Does this mean we get more Tenney books? And if so, do I have to suffer through another "Tenney and Logan go on tour and all the things go wrong!" story? This is pretty cute, though.
Tenney's Tour Jacket // $15
Item#FLR86
When she’s on tour, Tenney wears this cute sequined jacket, which has a zip front and contrast sleeves. A gold star with a “T”adorns one shoulder.
AG really likes those black sequins, eh? I like the idea of this one, but I'm not sure how I feel about the whole thing. This is one I kind of want to see in person and kind of can't wait til reviews come in.
Tenney's Microphone Set // $15
Item#FLR80
Tenney takes this set onstage to stand out at her big performance. Includes:
A microphone in a removable stand to help make her voice strong and clear
A tambourine that Tenney can hold
A special award topped with a golden guitar
I kinda dig this, honestly. I really like the idea of this being part of the mix-n-match set, though I'm not sure I'll be buying it. Is it wrong I really like the tambourine?
Tenney's Rosy Sunglasses // $10
Item#FLR77
Tenney shades her eyes from the Nashville sun with these fun floral-print sunglasses.
I'm sorry, I can't concentrate on anything beyond how off her lips look in the picture. Just, it's all I can see. I'm assuming it's simply the light but still. The shades themselves, are interesting.
Tenney's Show Shoes // $10
Item#FLR79
When she steps into the spotlight onstage, Tenney wears these sparkly shoes.
They're sparkly black shoes. Ooh. Ahh. Eh.
Tenney's Sparkly Sneakers // $10
Item#FLR78
Tenney wears these sporty-yet-sparkly shoes while she’s on tour. They go with nearly everything in her wardrobe!
These I really like, actually. Along with the shorts, these are on my short want list.
Misc leftover pics:
In general, I'm not a huge fan of this. I think there were some good/interesting ideas but the execution fell a little flat in places for me. Dress, I mean you. I suppose this kind of fits in with Tenney's stuff in general. There's a lot of stuff I kind of like, but very little I must, must have.
eta: new Truly Me stuff
Star Spangled Gear // $34
Item#FLX54
Hurray for the USA! Dolls can show their patriotic pride with this set:
A tee with blue sleeves and a striped star graphic
Bright red straight-leg pants with back pockets
A blue cable-knit hat with a furry white pom-pom
Metallic silver shoes with white laces
Red sunglasses with white star details
Huh. This is allegedly a limited edition, while supplies last item. I have not heard one peep about this and only noticed it when I went to the product page and noticed a little star to the right telling me Special-Edition Star-Spangled Fan Gear: Available only while supplies last .
Y'know, I think AG could probably do with some actual, legit LE stuff. I'm not sure I would look at this and think, "yup, LE worthy stuff here" but you gotta start somewhere. I assume this is a bit of a tie in for the Olympics? In any case, I actually think this is a rather cute outfit. I dig the hat and the sunnies enough that I might even be willing to pay *twitch* shipping. I think I'd be disappointed if I missed this, but I also freely admit that I could just be swayed by the cute pieces I do like and the fact that it's modeled on a doll I find adorable. :p
Sun and Fun Outfit // $28
Item# FLL21
It’s time to hit the beach! This outfit includes:
A button-front woven shirt with embroidered details
Twill shorts with back patch pockets for little treasures
Coral flip flops for warm weather
A hat to shade the doll’s eyes from the sun
You ever look at an outfit and you know full well what kind of jackass wears it in reality? Mmm. Hmm. I've gotta say, old man buying cigars and Newports is probably a new look for AG but there you are. Also, douche bros wearing this around downtown. Seriously, this is a look that on it's own is not bad. But I have seen it come to life in so many bad ways that I see shirts like this and I kind of break out in hives. Kind of literally because I'm itching right now. I will say those flip flops don't complete the look here, but only because they're not quite the right kind of flip flops. For here. I dunno about elsewhere.
Jess mold boy is still off and looking like those possessed dolls that pop up every Halloween or whenever. Something isn't quite working out for me with him.
Sunny Day Dress // $28
Item#FLY24
Dolls will be ready for sun and fun in this outfit, featuring:
A cotton dress with intricate embroidery and a smocked waist
A coral headband with pom-pom accents
Strappy sandals to match
You know what colors I hate together? Coral and lime green. Haaaaaaaaaaaate. Make it in pompom form and you've got me ignoring all the things I might like about this and raging about the headband and the shoes. Of course, I don't really like AG dresses that show off the arm sockets either and this highlights them. What I do like? I like the coral. I like the embroidery and the sequins. I like the style of shoe, even if I don't like the color. But this isn't one I will buy at full price or possibly ever. I do want to see it on Gabby or someone though.
Also, I have a weird love/hate thing with smocked waists. I used to love them as a kid. They still remind me of certain dresses of my mother's (and my own) but ohmyglob, when they'd start to dig into your skin, it was the worst.
Dino-Mite Outfit // $28
Item#FLL06
This doll-sized outfit is dino-mite! It includes:
A lime-green tee with a dinosaur skeleton graphic and mock-layered sleeves
Printed twill shorts with contrast stitch details
High-top shoes with lime-green accents and coral laces
I assume someone at AG/in the world decided coral and lime green was going to be a thing this year, huh? Sigh. I can't complain too, too much because it is just the shoe laces and honestly, this is probably an outfit Widget would've worn til he was 8 or so? I have memories of Widget having outfits like this but I'm too lazy to look up various photos. People lost their minds over the thought that this would be labeled as for boys instead of unisex but that didn't happen so I got to sit back and snicker softly. Because I'm rude.
I have no real love or hate for this. I think it could be dressed up to work for my army but I also have no burning desire to buy it so... eh.
The Sonali mold boy here looks cuter than instore shots gave him credit for.
Explore The Outdoors Outfit // $28
Item#FLY23
She can dress her doll for adventure in this outfit, including:
A tie-dye-print tank top with an empire waist
A hooded jacket with three-quarter sleeves and printed “patches” at the chest
Coral twill shorts with frayed edges
Ankle-strap sandals with buckles
More coral! I actually quite like the coral bits on this as the shoes and shorts are really cute. I'm a little less sold on the top, though I do like the blue. I'm even less sold on the hoodie, but it's a color I'm not a huge fan of. I don't dislike this outfit and I think it's one I could be swayed to like more than I think I do now. Also, the pieces I do like, I like enough that should there be a sale...
Everyday Accessories // $30
Item#FLL03
Dolls will be ready for the day with this accessory set:
A zip-front hoodie sweatshirt with a graphic on the front
A skateboard-print backpack that zips open to hold essentials
A pretend phone with a removable screen and phone case the doll can hold
Pretend lime-green wireless headphones
A clear water bottle with waterdrop graphics
5 faux dollar bills
Ha, Luci's accessories were cheaper than I thought they'd be and this is more expensive than your average accessory set tends to be. It's not bad, it's not awful. It's pretty realistic, even. The color scheme just doesn't do much for me, though it's not something I'll sit here and mock. *shrug* I might even pick it up on sale at some point. I also might not. It's one I'll look forward to seeing how other people put it to use, y'know?
Coconut PJs for 18inch Dolls // $25
Item#FMN02
Her doll will be all set for sweet dreams in these PJs. They feature an allover colorful star print on the raglan sleeves, plus a graphic of Coconut the pup and the American Girl logo. The shorts have a Coconut and American Girl star print. Also includes comfy Coconut slippers, and a fuzzy little Coconut pillow.
Normally I don't include the "for 18inch dolls" in my titles because duh, but this outfit has a matching Wellie Wishers outfit which you'll see in a minute so I thought I'd just make it clear in case pictures go weird or something in the future.
I think this is one that almost works for me. My Coconut outfit likes haven't really existed for the most part, though I couldn't tell you why. I like the shorts and the pillow. I don't dislike the graphic on the shirt, but the sleeves are very busy and with them not matching the shorts, my brain gets a little fizzy. But I like it when I see it not in this stock image so it's not too bad. I also like that they're pairing the Wellies and the regular dolls together because I like when AG shakes things up and cross promotes their items. I think matching stuff with the Wellies works way better than it did with Bitty because the scale works out. Or is closer, anyway. The slippers look a little creepy, but you could easily convince me that Coconut is out to murder us all.
Coconut PJs for Wellies // $20
Item#FMN03
Her WellieWishers™ doll will be all set for sweet dreams in these PJs. They feature an allover colorful star print on the raglan sleeves, plus a graphic of Coconut the pup and the American Girl logo. The shorts have a Coconut and American Girl star print. Also includes comfy Coconut slippers, and a fuzzy little Coconut pillow.
Non-plastic Wellie shoes! It's a miracle! Pretty sure I'll buy this so Emmers can have some PJs finally. Also, woo for Wellies still having free shipping.
Coconut Tee // $10
Item#FNX21
This scoop-neck tee features an American Girl storefront graphic with Coconut the pup and glitter details.
The neckline for this is so weird. No.
Starry Jeggings // $10
Item#FMN06
These star-print jeggings are a fun complement to her doll’s tops and tunics! They feature white contrast stitching and American Girl logo embroidery.
*looks at picture with Coconut shirt* There is just a lot going on with these. I thought, when I saw the initial shot of just the leggings, that I wanted them. But it's like when you grab a pair of pants off the rack, think you'll love them, and then you try them on and it all goes to hell. Only in doll form. So no, no thank you for now. Maybe later.
Rock Star Outfit for Wellies // $24
Item#FLN04
The WellieWishers are putting on a fabulous show in the garden, and Emerson is the lead singer! Her glam getup includes:
A tunic top with gathered cap sleeves, a sequined star, and a silver satin ribbon at the waist
Black knit leggings dotted with silver spangles
Glittery purple high-top shoes
Glittery purple sunglasses with molded stars
Ohmyglob, I laughed when I saw this, but in the most delighted way. It's cheesy and over the top and kind of amazingly awful and wonderful and if the shoes didn't gap in the back (Mattel, Jesus, you're better than this!) I'd be all oer this. I might still be because it's pretty much so Emerson. On the flipside, it's also pretty different from the other Wellie things, which is oddly worrisome. Self, you weren't a fan of the original wave of Wellie outfits and you like these. Why worry.
Truly Me Mix n Match
Blue Sea Dress // $15
Item#FLV99
Perfect for a beach party, this dress features iridescent glitter at the bodice, an empire waist, and a floaty layer of mesh over a jersey lining.
This looks like a beach coverup. I appreciate them putting it on not!Gabby because it's making me want it, but seeing as the temp outside is currently a balmy "feels like 22", I'm not in the mood to think about going swimming. I do love the colors for this, though. Love, love, love them.
Criss-cross Sandals // $10
Item#FLW00
Her doll will be ready for sunshine in these sandals. Their bright hue and crisscross straps with a knot detail are just right for warmer weather.
See above about the being cold as hell (not complaining, mind you) but loving the color. Only these will probably definitely come home.
Sea Breeze Top // $10
Item#FLR08
Inspired by the cool ocean air, this top features a hint of silver woven in for sparkle and a wide ruffle at the neckline.
I like the silver strands. I like them a lot. I hate the ruffle. I hate it a lot. I am clearly conflicted. The colors are gorgeous but the style, oh the style...
Wave Shorts // $10
Item#FLV82
These beachy canvas shorts are made to look like waves, with real pockets, tonal water print, and scalloped edges.
I really like these and I don't know why. Is it my Cancer nature, drawing me to the water? Is it the color? The scalloped edges? I don't know, but these are on my yes list.
Lace Print Shoes // $10
Item#FLW01
Add a sweet touch to any outfit with these shoes-they’re pale pink canvas with white lace print.
I like these as well. Not sure I can think of much they'd actually go with, but I do like them. Alas, I am terrible at buying the shoes that come seperately. Terrible.
Sea Glass Tank // $10
Item#FLN22
This aqua-blue tank top is cool as sea glass, with a ruffled edge at the neckline.
If this was a simple tank, I'd probably buy it. But ruffles. RUFFLES. Nyargh.
Ombre Waves Skirt // $10
Item#FLV83
This breezy skirt features teal and purple ombre print, with a pink sequined fabric edge underneath.
Grace's sequins live on. I want to like this more than I actually do. It just looks ... strange? I don't know. It might simply be because both shirts they've paired it with bug me for different reasons, or it might be that the skirt is off too. Someone, anyone, tell me why I do or do not like this.
Seashell Sequin Shorts // $10
Item#FLR33
These shorts will make waves-they’re covered in sequins, with a big satin bow at the waist.
*sees just the shorts* Oooh, cute and OTT! *sees the outfit* Wtf, no.
Mermaid Tee // $10
Item#FLP36
Show her doll’s love of the sea with this cute tee! It features a sparkly mermaid graphic and cap sleeves.
This is adorable and I wants. Thank you, that is all.
Seashore Stripe Skirt // $10
Item#FLV84
This cotton maxi skirt features teal and purple stripes, plus wrap-around ruffles at the front.
It's not often I look at doll clothes and think, "that would be comfy as hell" but I do for this. It's also styled horribly. Like hoooooooooooorrribly. It could be a problem with this kind of skirt, or it could be that AG's mix and match closets tend to be better in theory than in actuality. This skirt is giving me flashbacks to my summer at the beach, though. So that's good.
Seashell Lace Tank // $10
Item#FLR07
Perfect for a day at the seashore, this pale coral tank features lace at the neckline.
That's not really a shirt I'd wear to the beach, guys. If nothing else, weird tanning would be going on with that lace. This is one that I like the shirt, I like the style, I even like the color, but why is this pink so much darker than any of the other pinks used in the rest of the MnM stuff? It bugs me.
School of Fish Tee // $10
Item#FLR17
Dolls can dive in to fun with this cute tee, featuring a school of glittery printed fish!
Well, hello, Liz Wakefield. I don't really know what to say beyond that. I want to like this, but I don't really know how I feel about it. Print shirts are usually a pass for me, but I do like the colors and glitter. But the print doesn't go all the way around and I just... eh.
And misc shots that I just can't be bothered to shove into a more appropriate spot :
TM #76 Sonali Mold // $115
Item#FLK54
Brown Eyes, Dark Brown Hair, Medium Skin Tone
The 18-inch Truly Me™ doll has a huggable cloth body, eyes that open and close, hair that can be brushed, and a movable head and limbs made of smooth vinyl. This doll has brown eyes, short dark brown hair, and medium skin tone. The doll arrives wearing a polo shirt with distressed stripes, twill pants with pockets, gray boxer briefs, and slip-on shoes.
If anyone wondered, the TM boxers aren't the same as Logan's. With that important news out of the way, let's look at the not quite Sonali mold boy, eh?
His promo shot here is cuter than pretty much any of the in store pics I've seen of him. That's a bit odd as it's usually the other way around. If I hadn't seen those shots first, he'd probably be on my short list of dolls I'd like. He still might be because I dig the wig. But my want list has other dolls well before him so... I mean, boy dolls aren't my thing but I don't hate that he exists.
TM #74 Classic Mold Boy // $115
Item#FLK46
Blue Eyes, Blond Hair, Light Skin Tone
Despite the changes to the molds, I'm just going to refer to them by the molds they're obvious tweaks of for ease of reference, ok? Based on this shot, classic dude is not my favorite. I like his in store shots better, but then I swing back to not really enthused when I see reviews. The thing I do like is that they used the darker blue instead of defaulting to the light blue eyes.
TM #75 Jess Mold Boy // $115
Item#FLK52
Brown Eyes, Dark Brown Hair, Light Skin Tone
I want to like you more, Jess boy. I do. But there is something with this mold that isn't doing it for me. I'm still hoping someone will buy him and take some decent shots and I'll swing around to liking him.
TM #77 Addy Mold Boy // $115
Item#FLK87
Brown Eyes, Dark Brown Hair, Dark Skin Tone
Addy mold works best for me. This is the doll of the four that's actually kind of whispering, "Hey, buy me..." right now. It doesn't hurt that if I hear one more person bitch about him I'm going to lose my mind. He's easily the cutest. Hands down.
Dark Blue Glasses // $10
Item#FLL24
These classic glasses feature blue frames and come with a case for safekeeping.
And just like that I am completely cured of any thought of wanting the boy classic mold. o_O I still want these glasses though. Doll glasses for everyone!
Snack Stand // $85
Item#FLY86
Dolls can run a business and serve up some pretend snacks with this 28-piece set! This set includes:
A wooden food stand with a serving counter, a pretend grill, a condiment tray, and a cash drawer that opens
A colorful banner with an attached felt flower and ribbons to hang on the stand
Three drink bottles for refreshments
Two nachos and two quesadillas to “cook” on the griddle then serve to customers
A stack of tortillas and three churros for a yummy treat
Three bags of tortilla chips that can hang from the stand
Four paper boats for the snacks, serving tongs, and a bottle of hot sauce
Five pretend dollar bills for making change
AG's doll food never fails to look disgusting. I'm not really sure how that's possible, but it totally is. That said, I would not turn down a quesadilla at the moment. Mm. But no, I shall not be buying this.
Chameleon Terrarium Set // $30
Item#FLM67
This charming little lizard is the perfect pet. This set includes:
A toy blue chameleon with a curled tail that can sit on the vine
A pretend terrarium with a rock-print backdrop, a dimensional vine and faux plant to create a realistic habitat. The clear door opens on one side. Press a button on the lid to turn the light on to keep the chameleon warm and see what it's up to!
A pretend misting bottle to keep the moisture level up, plus a pretend food jar and water dish
Requires 2 AAA batteries, not included.
Do not mist cage with real water.
I was going to say this was their most expensive pet so far but then I remembered McKenna's hamster bundled with her bed and there goes that.
Now you can have a blue Pascal for your AG version of Rapunzel! I won't be buying but again, I'm glad the option exists. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to close the page before I hear someone shriek, "but why do the boys get the reptiles?" Because you'll notice this isn't pictured with a doll at all. Which is vexing because I need a reference for size as that's not my thing at all. My brain is hopeless in that regard.
Gold Glitter Boots // $10
Item#FLN19
The pimp boots live on and I need these to add to that collection.
Teal Sneakers // $10
Item#FLN21
These two-tone blue and teal athletic shoes have elastic laces to make them easy to slip on.
I remember when AG shoes didn't look like toddler shoes. Meh. I want to like these more but without seeing them in action, even if in a promo shot, I've got nothing more to go on than a resemblence to Bitty shoes.
Cool Treats High Tops // $10
Item#FLN20
A treat for feet! These high-top shoes feature a fun ice-pop print and bright blue laces.
I'm pretty sure I need these and like three pairs of slouch socks for a Claudia costume. Now.
Blue Fish Tote // $10
Item#FLW07
This canvas tote is perfect for a day at the beach! It's printed with glittery fish, and has two braided handles that fit over a doll’s shoulder.
... I'm thinking no, but I'm willing to eat my words. I just don't see that happening.
Knit Rhinestone Beanie // $10
Item#FLN17
This cute beanie adds a pop of color to any outfit. It’s made with a metallic fabric for a hint of shine, and has a cluster of rhinestones stitched on one side.
Welp, this was unexpectedly cute. Might need...
Shark Baseball Cap // $10
Item#FLN11
Add some bite to her doll’s style with this cap. It has a school of sharks printed on the front, and mesh in back to keep cool.
Shaaaaaaaaaaaarks. Probably won't buy but I'll smile each time I remember this is a thing. Shaaaaaaaaaark.
Chambray Cadet Cap // $10
Item#FLN18
This cute cap is made of dotted chambray fabric, with a brim to shade her doll’s eyes on a sunny day.
Can't tell if the cold is making me sleepy or if this hat is just so boring it's putting me to sleep.
Woodland Animal Vet Set // $24
Item#FLM97
The doctor is in! The animal-loving WellieWishers, led by Willa, are ready to give TLC to furry friends with this sweet set. It includes:
A lab coat printed with scenes of bunnies, carrots, and flowers
A cute felt bag with a strap the doll can hold
A faux stethoscope for animal checkups
A pretend syringe for giving “medicine,” plus a dropper and bottle
A pretend thermometer that changes color with a turn of the flower on top
This is cute but seeing it on over Willa's Meet outfit is kind of hurting my eyes. That's just a lot of busy prints competing for my eyeballs and I think I might hurl if I keep looking so I'm going to just slide my attention back to the coat itself. The print on this is so cute that even though I'm not interested in the set itself, I'd be tempted if it ever wound up on sale.
Chicken Coop // $42
Item#FLM99
Every morning in Aunt Miranda’s garden, the WellieWishers visit the chicken coop, where the chicken clucks a cheerful greeting! This set includes:
A sunny yellow coop with a drop-down ramp complete with chicken footprints and a hinged roof that opens for playtime
A fluffy plush chicken with a bright-red comb
A nest containing a cluster of pretend eggs
A “Chicken Coop” sign that hangs on the door
To keep the chicken well-fed, a feeder that attaches to the coop
A weathervane featuring a bright-red chicken that really turns
An apron with a cute embroidered chick; it has roomy pockets for the eggs the WellieWishers gather!
Y'know, AG really likes to make their chicken stuff expensive. I still have Kit's around here and I regret nothing about it. Hell, I'd probably buy this for the sheer insanity if it didn't happen to be so expensive. I swear, if you looked through my AG collection you'd wonder what the theme was. I'll tell you what the theme is: stuff that amuses me. And this amuses me.
Butterfly Beats Keyboard // $35
Item#FLN02
Rhythm, melody, and more-the WellieWishers love making music with this keyboard and drum set in one! It includes:
A colorful keyboard, which sits on two trellis legs decorated with flowers and vines. It plays three songs at the push of a button and has three drum pads on top of the piano, also activated by button. It features a butterfly-shaped sheet-music stand that’s hinged to move up and down
A microphone with a stand
Two drumsticks
Requires 3 AAA batteries, not included.
Take a moment to absorb the fact that the keyboard costs less than the chicken coop. Go on. I'll wait.
Ready? Yeah, this does nothing for me. It's cute and I hope the Wellies continue to do well for AG but this isn't tempting me. AG or similarly sized doll bands aren't my thing, but as a kid I might've felt differently. I mean, Barbie and the Rockers, JEM... these days it's a size issue, really.
Strings and Wings Guitar // $25
Item#FLN03
Music takes flight for the WellieWishers with this beautiful butterfly-shaped instrument! Three different songs play at the push of a button. It comes with a pretty matching strap so the doll can wear it, plus some sheet music.
Requires 3 AAA batteries, not included.
Oh, god, Emerson in those glasses will probably never fail to crack me up. I couldn't even tell you why, it's just something that tickles me. This set, however, will remain unpurchased. I don't dislike it, though it really doesn't go all that well with the rock star outfit they've got.
Explore The Outdoors Set // $24
Item#FLN05
The WellieWishers like to investigate every nook and cranny of Aunt Miranda’s garden, and this gear makes their adventures even more fun. This set includes:
A cute cargo vest with contrast print at the edges
A walking stick with a wriggly worm
A birdhouse with a friendly bird perched in the doorway
A pretend instant camera with three photos taken in Aunt Miranda’s garden
For snack time, pretend animal crackers in a colorful animal cracker box
Again, Willa's outfit is competing with everything going on here so I'm kinda feeling off about it in general. But mostly now I just want animal cookies. Mmm. Which is to say this is cute but not for me, and you might as well just not make a drinking game for each time I say that because I know Wellies aren't aimed at me.
Under the Sea Accessories // $24
Item#FLN06
The WellieWishers love to daydream about oceans and mermaids! This set includes:
A pink mesh bag to hold shells and other trinkets
A shimmery seashell with a faux pearl inside
A sparkly piece of ocean glass and a shiny rock she found on the beach
A bubblegum machine transformed into a fish bowl-push the button and the pretend goldfish swims!
A sweet pink octopus plush with a seashell applique
I comment that these aren't meant for me an then the next item up is something I will totally be buying at some point. Oh, Wellies. You are clever girls. I think this is a little overpriced when you compare it to the other accessory sets in this release, but that pink octopus is so cute. So this is a sale or if I see it in a store or something thing because cute.
Fun and Games Set // $24
Item#FLN07
This set has everything the WellieWishers need to throw a backyard bash! It includes:
A clipboard and a cute bunny pencil for staying organized
A lovely organza skirt with pink bows for the hostess to wear
2 party favors-colorful tops that really spin
2 party bags with owl faces
A game board featuring a pink unicorn
A sticker sheet for the Pin the Tail on the Unicorn game
5 pink invitations, each with a butterfly in the corner
When I was little, I adored walking through the party section at TRU and dreaming about getting a themed party for my birthday or better still, just because. (When your birthday is in the middle of summer and you don't have a neighborhood crawling with kids, you do not get a big party. I feel your pain, Claudia. Forever and always.) And it's not like I didn't get the themed party stuff either. She-Ra definitely happened and as an adult I went full on Monster High. But I'm talking about this because the set here is cute but it's making me want to throw a themed party instead. I do really, really like that pencil though. I did think it was a sheep and not a bunny...
Reimagined Artist Set // $24
Item#FLN08
The WellieWishers are always crafting and creating, and this set is a big help! It includes:
A faux-leather tool belt with pink contrast stitching and two big pockets, one heart-shaped
A faux cordless screwdriver that spins with the press of a button
A snail-shaped tape measure with cute googly eyes
A ruler/level with a red ball that moves
A wrench that fits in a doll’s hand
A paintbrush and paint palette with three colors of faux paint
Interesting that they're basically re-releasing the Wellie's accessories with some tweaks here and there. I guess it makes sense. Dolly screwdriver is adorable, as is the measuring tape. Not a huge fan of the tool belt but I do like that they went less girly with it just to change things up. Kendall, darling, that is a terrible way to carry a wet paint brush though. Comparing it to the
Make it Great set it's less similar than I originally thought and I shall probably buy this at some point because of the screwdriver.
Set the Stage Playset // $24
Item#FLN09
The WellieWishers are ready to put on a magic show! This set includes:
A pink faux-wood crate with handles and a star logo
A colorful clown collar with printed hearts and puffy green pom-poms
Funny glasses with a clown nose
A dragon puppet that fits on a doll’s hand
A top hat with an extra surprise-Carrot the bunny pops out with the push of a button!
Probably won't ever buy but if I do, it'll be on sale and because of Carrot in the top hat and the dragon puppet.
Gopher and Watering Can // $15
Item#FLN00
The WellieWishers know that their gopher is a bit of a troublemaker in Aunt Miranda’s garden, but they like him anyway, even when he helps himself to their snacks! Norman has soft gray fur and twinkling eyes. He comes with a cheery orange watering can.
Norman! Oh, how I've waited for him to appear. He's so cute in the show and I shall buy him because he might be my favorite character. :p And unlike Kaya's beaver, he is not nightmare fuel.
Fox and Composting Can // $15
Item#FLN01
This feisty fox fascinates the WellieWishers, as she seems to be behind many of the mysterious happenings in the garden. She has soft russet fur with a white chest. The set includes a composting can and a lid.
Silly fox, composting cans are not the places to hang out. But she's cute and will also appear at some point because why the hell not.
I think this concludes the new release. I don't think Bitty Baby got anything new and if I missed anything, I'm sorry. Mostly it's a release that either did nothing for me (most of the Wellie stuff) or made me want to throw my wallet at the company (Luciana's stuff).
