We found my favorite dumpster--the one behind a thrift store, where I found books--all locked up. Motherfuckers!! >:o The last time I was there, there was a big truck unloading a bunch of stuff, well after closing. Guess they saw me lurking around and went O noes, someone on a bike--better lock this fucker up!! What the shit. That pisses me off. I followed the rules of diving--don't make a mess, put everything back the way you found it, etc. I recycle as much of my own trash as I can, and this is how karma repays me. Fuck you, karma!!
This is why I prefer not to be seen, if I can help it. We also stopped by BN, but there were still people hanging around, and this was about an hour after closing. >:|
We did find some fruit in the dumpsters behind the more expensive grocery store--whole pineapple, cantaloupes and bags of grapes or cherries!! There was also a whole box of something that looked like cooking wines, or bottles of something anyway. I need to procure a pair of rain boots before I go jumping in after that stuff though.
Also found a worn bike seat; S took that for his bike. Slap some duct tape on that bitch and good as new!
I'm pretty sure some asshole tried to rip the basket off my bike a couple days ago. I might have been carrying too much weight in it, but it looks more like someone just wrenched on it. Idiots!! I have my lock cable looped through the loop on it, so they wouldn't have been able to get away with it if they tried. I already fixed it with a plastic cable tie. Now it's not going anywhere. Guess I could get a rack instead and put a milk crate on the back like I've seen a few people around here do, but the problem with that is if you're carrying stuff and you hit a bump and stuff goes flying you won't see it cuz it's behind you.
I did put a new saddle on the bike the other day; now I hope someone doesn't try to steal that. Why the hell can't people just leave shit alone?!
My lock also decided it didn't want to lock this morning, but luckily I had an extra lock to put on it. I should probably go get another one in case that one decides to stop working too.
