Update or the Bunny Gets It

I'm being bitched at to update, though nothing much of interest to the masses has happened recently. Yesterday I went to the Mary Poppins Singalong at the Astor with gwyntt. Much merriment was had, with the exception of the little brat who was running back and forth in the row behind us. During the intermission she was heard to exclaim "Oh good we can go home now." But it was another 20 minutes into the second half of the movie before the mother realised this was a good idea.

My evening was spent socialising with uni people I hadn't seen since before graduation. Anteny's farewell dinner and drinks kicked off at La Porchetta and eventually turned into a pub crawl of epic proportions. Epic in the sense of crossing the length and breadth of the city in search of alcohol rather than in alcohol consumed. We did discover Trader Bar, a very slick bar who's prices fluctuated according to the Drinks Exchange. Upon arriving, we purchased something like 7 Cascades for $4.50 each wich subsequenly drove the price up to $6.90. Definitely a place to return to. Our next destination was The Purple Emerald. A funky small low key op-shop furnished place on flinders lane, albeit still with a dress code. They had some interesting vodka infusions there. One I bought for Anteny was cinnamon infused vodka with apple juice. Now cinnamon and apple are known to be very well suited for each other when combined with the correct amount of sugar and preservatives. Apple juice, however, is known for being slightly tart. Thus I warned Antenty "Don't thank me until after you've tried it. It looks .... interesting." All we could really taste was the heady strong cinnamon initially but were left with the sour juice aftertaste. I made myself scarce after that, mostly due to fatigue but maybe just maybe, in part to avoid any possible retaliation ;)

Instead of livejournalling my current relatively dull existence, I have instead been in the process of organising my Europe trip. Eventually, my travel journal will appear here, but for the moment I am slowly updating photos on flickr. Quite a nifty program indeed.
