I derive little pleasure from chess. It is a game of wit and strategy, and I'm afraid with anyone this much lower than a god - it'd be dull.
I'm not terribly good for dissection. Unless you are so terribly extraordinary you can comprehend the pure energy. Or unless your life is so dull you desire to examine clay.
I expected you'd pry. Oh, you need not worry. I can see pure energy quite well, as I'm sure you know. But, your waveforms are vastly different, I imagine. Lovely, I'm all the more curious to see.
Oh, come now Thylas. You know all about me, I'm sure. I could at least be a droll little quick thrill. If I can reverse-engineer human beings, I can play a decent game of chess.
...Is there any other reason to admire them besides superficial beauty of photo-luminescence during warm summer nights? Please, I could replicate the effect with basic fonic arts, create hundreds of the little things with fomicry, or just as soon shut the little brats up myself.
It kills two birds with one stone, really. What's not to like?
Thylas, I'm hurt. I'm only hostile when it's absolutely necessary, come now. I love children, really. Children like Fon Master Ion, and Tear. They were dears, really. Anise, too. She was so cute with her little plans.
...Just not children like Luke. They repulse me. I'm sure a god like you can understand how irksome it is to see such offspring. Miserable, grubby little spoiled brats with no sense. The little children that don't appreciate anything and expect the world at their feet. You must see it in humans, it's everywhere.

Now, now, Jade - should I pretend to be surprised by the moves you make while playing?

I'd be insulted if you did, Thylas. I would expect no less.

Simply a chance to find out how my mind works.
