The Grudge && Random Funny-ness

Oct 23, 2004 22:49

So, I saw The Grudge, starring SMidGe and the cute alien from Roswell.  I really didn't find it as viscerally scary as The Ring.  I did however get to see a preview for The Ring 2.  It might just be scarier than TG, but not as scary as TR.  Mehn - time will tell.  The best part of the movie were the previews - including one for a scary signal-to-noise ratio movie, and one for a Cousteau parody.  The first stars Michael Keaton, and seemed like it could be good.  The second seems kinda cheesy, but with an all-star cast!  Oh, and there was an ad for a new CBC two-part series called H2O, starring Paul Gross from Due South.  It seems like it might be interesting... so I will watch, Desperate Housewives permitting.

About TG I have very little to say.  Gory, and a lot less scary than the Ring, it was a bit of a dissappointment.  It also made very little sense, had an almost non-existant plotline, and starred very little SMG considering all the previews.  But of course, that didn't stop me from hiding in my turtleneck for most of the show.  Atleast I provided comic relief for the guys watching the movie with me.  I'd give it two stars, or half a thumb up or something.  All I have to say is, wait and see it released on video.

This is soo funny! A must read.  I'm totally signing all future credit cards with the egyptian hieroglyphs for Isis.  Or maybe the symbol for the House of El.  Or the symbol for the Artist formerly blah blah.

LJ Editpics can bite my ass.  Wait, it's already doing that.  Work damnit!
