Purple (or PURPLE): Hm. Purple? Purple...why purple? Is it because of Rorschach's gloves? The pinstripe pants? Because I'm so flamboyantly gay?
Rorschach: Unquestionably my favorite Watchmen character and a man I would like to bone despite terrible consequences. I also like to contemplate his sexuality in a scholarly fashion. My number one fandom irk is probably when people say "BUT HE'S TOTES ASEXUAL OKAY." I'm not gonna assume he's gay or straight, but the man is definitely dealing with repressed sexual urges of some kind. Here's my deal: He's constantly telling himself (and, incidentally, the audience) that he doesn't feel pain, lust, or fear. Even when he jumps out of a window and breaks his ankle, he's trying to get up and chanting to himself that he's not in pain. The problem with this is that he is still obviously in pain. As Spy once put it, Rorschach is the Unreliable Narrator. I think people reading on surface levels tend to overlook that, and just go with whatever Rorschach tells them. "I HATE WOMEN THEY'RE WHORES" "Hey guys I think Rorschach's asexual I mean he hates women and thinks they're whores"

Twilight Lady: Unquestionably my...second favorite Watchmen character. And it's all because of pco (well, mostly because of Cap'n, and then Danielle drew that comic of her wearing different outfits and...) A woman I would like to bone despite sinfully delicious consequences.
