Last night was
Video Games Live! Woot. Unfortunately, when my battery died on Thursday, I failed to remember to charge it overnight and have no photos. Bummer.
It was cool, though it seemed much more like a giant advertisement for recent or unreleased games than a celebration of music in games. I much more enjoyed the Martin Leung portions (he's the
video game pianist) than the random people brought on stage to pimp their new games (and movies, even). The orchestra was brill, and I did get to hear a live performance of
Lament of the Highborne! That was awesome. I just didn't really enjoy paying money to see commercials between every performance. =/
Today is a visit with me mum for the traditional birthday feast! ^_^ Happy Birthday (yesterday), Ma! We have yet to decide where to eat but that always happens.
I'm supposed to be home on Sunday to work on my neglected Halloween costume, but I'm being heavily influenced to go to Disneyland with the beau and his parents. I can't believe I'm hoping we'll just park at Downtown Disney and only stay a few hours so I can come home and work on the million things I have left to do in a week and a half. Curse you, All Hallows' Eve.
Once my battery charges, I'll post photos from last week. Nothing exciting - there's only so many photos I can take of us eating lunch or getting snacks. I got nothing on Thursday and Friday since the battery was dead, so I guess the streak has finally ended. WOE. I did much better than expected, though!
