So... if you can change from Alliance to Horde then back to Alliance, why not just let us change races within a faction directly? As it stands, I'd have to pay $60 and wait 60 days to change a human into a gnome. Why not let me pay and skip the wait? None of my achievements would have to be changed over, even! Tham plays a Draenei priest, he made it back when the priest racials were class specific and the mana restoration spell was super-powerful. When they diluted the racial spells and gave them to every priest, he'd have done better to start out human - or gnome soon, int > spi for disc, but I think if I asked him his thoughts on gnome priests, it would be something like "BWAAHAHAHAHA" - for all the good an extra 5 jc skill (he isn't a jc) or 2% shadow miss (shadow damage so far has been few and far between) or 1% hit aura (let me know when heals start missing or being resisted...and the other group members can suck it and get moar hit) or a wimpy 3-min cd hot will do.
I'm fine with my faction/class choices, for the most part - I didn't choose for the racials so much as the aesthetics. But I AM inclined to wonder, since 2 of my 4 80s are dwarves...where da treasure chests at? :( And no silly answers like "They've all been found! :v" - when I raided in BC and liked having an extra stack or two of pots to pass around, all it took was 5-10 minutes of flying around BEM and sniping chests to have more than I needed for a week. When they removed the old BC chests and didn't put NR ones in anywhere, that's one racial that got completely hosed. I know not all racials will be effective for all classes (Expansive Mind on a warrior, woohoo) but this one's useless for any of them. Being revised to be increased gold dropped from mobs or increased chance of finding magic items would be awesome but highly improbable XD
