Summary: Prompt fill! For the totally awesome preferthemoss  who wanted:

Darren and Mark share a mutual glasses fetish.

---------------------------

Darren’s easy going personality made it difficult to say he was freaking out over his first day shooting a scene with anyone but the Warblers and Chris. However, he definitely wasn’t perfectly at ease. From everything Chris had said, the entire cast was ridiculously easy going. But he’d seen all the tweets and videos pointing to the obvious closeness between them all, and he knew it’d be difficult to be accepted into their little group.

His arrival on set was met by a rather triumphant cheer, and he was swarmed by bouncing females.

“Welcome to the set! This way!” Lea was pushing him towards the trailers.

He had just enough time to adjust his glasses on the bridge of his nose, and shoulder his bag before he was standing in front of a trailer proclaiming, “Mark Salling.”

“You have to share with Mark, because we’re short. He doesn’t bite. Hurry up and meet us on set!” The girls were bouncing away, Lea’s hand firmly in Dianna’s. That was certainly an experience.

He knocked lightly on the door in warning before walking in. Mark was seated on the table top, script in hand. Upon Darren’s entrance, he peeked over the rim of his glasses, eyes sultry. Darren was fairly sure it wasn’t intentional, and sex eyes were a natural thing for Puck-Shit, Mark, he meant Mark.

“Hey, man. Welcome to the insanity.” Mark hopped easily off the table, tossing the script behind him, before reaching out a hand. The curly haired boy grinned up at him, and shook the proffered hand.

His eyes were perpetually drawn to the glasses Mark was wearing, and he couldn’t decide if the dark frames made him look uber geeky or uber sexy. He decided on nerdsexy, and left it at that.

“Thanks! I think I just got mobbed by the welcoming committee out there,” He chuckled at the girl’s exuberance. This wasn’t so bad, he wasn’t feeling particularly uncomfortable.

Mark stepped closer to him, looking down into the smaller boy’s eyes, “I really like your glasses.”

Ok, he spoke too soon. But as soon as he’d thought it, he wanted to take it back. He wasn’t exactly uncomfortable, but the thoughts suddenly pervading his brain about his extremely straight cast member were slightly uncomfortable.

“Ah… I, like yours, too.” Staring into Mark’s hazel eyes was more riveting than the fact that they were needed on set something like five minutes ago. And he wasn’t lying, either. He really liked Mark’s glasses. He’d always had a thing for guys in glasses. There was something about the inherent nerdiness of it that really had his blood humming through his veins.

And he could see through Mark’s glasses, into his eyes. His gorgeous eyes. He was glad Mark couldn’t see through his lenses, afraid his own eyes would give away entirely too much. He had to share a trailer with the man, he didn’t want to go scaring him off.

Mark chuckled, reaching a finger out to hook under the middle of the neon pink frames, lifting them easily from Darren’s nose. And shit, now they were looking into each other’s eyes.

Darren cleared his throat, “It’s kind of my thing… I love those glasses.” He bit his speech off before he began rambling, he knew he’d never stop if he got going. And he usually said too much.

“No complaints here. Birds are kind of my thing. I think that’s a lot more nerdy than glasses.” Mark laughed, handing the glasses back to Darren and retrieving his script from the table.

“Hm. Nerdy is good. Nerdy is definitely good,” he was nodding emphatically, “Ah, we should probably get to set, right?”

“Yep, before Ryan comes looking for us. Definitely.” An arm was slung heavily over Darren’s shoulders as Mark escorted him out of the trailer and across the mostly empty lot. He grinned up at Mark. Obviously this assimilation into the group wasn’t going to be as painful as he thought.

He was still grinning when he finally made it to set to greet the rest of his co-workers.
