[Fran slipped out of the cafeteria, stack of opaque paper cups in hand. The staff had been very understanding once he told them what the cups were needed for. ]

Hmn...what do you think, hat? Do we need more materials?

[Hat slipped forward in affirmation, clearly (and greedily) desiring the most elaborate set-up possible.Well, we won’t get ( Read more... )

My hat. What about you?

.. I'm talking to you. Why are you talking to your hat about washers and ping-pong balls?

Oh, it's for the magic club. But I've decided that pom-pom balls would be better now. I'm the president, so, I have to do a lot of finding things. But, I'm pretty cheap, too, so, I'm not spending any money on it. Just trying to find things for free. It's working surprisingly well.

[ They share being cheap too?! Maybe they are from the same planet. Don't tell Bel! ]
I didn't hear anything about a magic club. Who else is in it?

[Being cheap, unusual hair-colour, cheek markings, petite-ness, headgear, low-key, FROGS--yeah, it was the same planet, alright.]

Yamamoto, Chrome, Haru, Mukuro, & Bel.

There's room for one more, yes? If you're worried about money then you should recruit a treasurer.

Aww~ Mammon. So cute~ <3 snarkfrog July 20 2010, 22:05:07 UTC
[Fran nodded--of course there was.]

That's true. We'll really need one of those... but, the person would have to be awfully good with money--I don't trust finances to just anyone, y'know.
Got any ideas for a candidate?

Definitely not the fake prince..........
Mu, I wouldn't mind doing it.

'His Majesty's' Royal Education doesn't seem to have included accounting. Either that or he's cursed.

I'd bet on the first.

Really? You would? Gee, that'd be great. 'Cause you I wouldn't mind trusting you with our finances, seeing as you're awfully concerned about it, too. That'd be ideal, actually.

Either seem plenty likely.

Mu, I'll do it, if you insist.
[ And gets straight to business =u= ]
The first thing you should think to do is charge a joining fee waived for the both of us, of course to pay for supplies.

That's a pretty good idea. Especially the part about waiving our fees. What do you think sounds reasonable? I was planning to make them buy anything we couldn't get for free--like cards, for example, but there are some things it'd be easier for me to order directly--belonging to groups that sell this sort of thing and all. We don't want to set it so high that everyone runs away, but we also aren't going to buy anything by ourselves...

[Fran trailed off, just as serious as his planet-mate. Business wasn't anything to be trifled with, after all.]

... It might be easier to figure out once we know the club's budget, if there is one. Someone will have to talk to the Principal about it. From there we can collect from the members and order what we need.

[If there is? Fran had been working under the assumption that there wouldn't be, but, a budget could be nice...]
Good point. Which of us is going to ask about it?

[ What kind of school would this be if there wasn't a budget set aside for club activities? That's Mammon's reasoning, anyways. ]
Mu, if we said something then one of them will have to volunteer.

Said something to one of the club members?

[On one hand, Fran liked the idea of less work. On the other, he didn't trust anyone else to do the job right.]

No, I can do it. I need to ask the principal about something else, anyway.
