Holee crud! Lightning struck the tree across the street at 11 o'clock last night. A whole branch fell down. The city came over last night at that time, waking me up with the flashing orange/yellow lights. I guess they were accessing the damage. They're here right now cleaning up the debris in the streets and the major branches.
Usually I'm used to having one or two major thunder cracks in a t-storm and the rest just rolling thunder. Last night, every single lightning struck close to home, causing the thunder to rattle the foundations something fierce. At least the basement didn't flood *too* badly.
T-Minus 50 minutes until I volunteer at the Boys & Girls' Club again! After today, I volunteered 18 hours!
New Futurama tonight! Hopefully they don't just pick up on topics that were sooo last year.
