They go you're just as boring as everyone else

March 25th - Bloc Party was amazing! I did not stop dancing (except for slow jams). They have such passion. I listened to them nonstop before and after the show I listened to them nonstop some more. I appreciate them so much more now. Mercury was fucking PHENOMENAL. I really fell in love with Sunday, at that point everyone in the crowd was swaying and singing "I love you in the morning". It was kinda perfect. It was funny at first these two frat-esque guys wanted to mosh so they were pretty much knocking against each other and the crowd was getting pissed off, then a third guy came from the back to join them. Those three started to bash against each other and by Helicopter which was one of the last songs like 20-30 people were moshing to it. The energy of the crowd perfect for a concert. I am sure the vast amount of weed smoked helped. Positive Tension was great just for the sheer fact that everyone screamed "SO FUCKING USELESS." At one point Kele started crowd surfing. I read online that they weren't that great live and thats absolutely false. Even if you are a casual fan I highly recommend seeing them. It was one of if not the best concert I have been to.

The next week I went to Texas and my aunt surprised me with Britney Spears tickets. DON'T HATE! It was actually cool. She didn't sing but her numerous costume changes and great dance numbers made up for that. It was weird because everyone was dressed up. In New York, the rule is the less effort you put into your appearance for concerts the cooler you are. In Texas, its the opposite everyone had their hair did and were wearing dresses. I visited University of Texas at Dallas AND LOVED IT. I definitely want to go there. I already got in, so hopefully no bumps in the road. If anyone lives in the Dallas area, can you tell me cool things to do in the area? Culturally its a bit different. I am really nice by New York standards. I have always had really good manners and have been told I am too nice, but in Texas I am considered a bitch. People said hi to me while waiting in line and I looked at them like they had 7 heads. No one does that in New York. It may take me a little while to figure out whats NY acceptable vs. Texas acceptable.
I did alot of shopping too because shopping in Texas is a million times better.
I saw I Love You, Man (loved it) and Adventureland (hated it).
I recently feel in love with Pale Blue Eyes by The Velvet Underground.
Today is the first day of Spring Break and I am going to laser tag it with a whole bunch of people. I really want to try to get SOME enjoyment out of my senior year.

BTW ETKIN TEKIN IF YOU ARE READING THIS, I know ANOTHER thing you did (or tried to do) and you really have no shame and you are still disgusting.

texas, music, friends
