Day of prayer?

What do you suppose bush is praying for this day? That no one notices that in all his professed concern, he couldn't get on the phone with his oil company buddies & ask where their donations are for those dispossed by Katrina? Is he praying that no one notices that he suspended a federal law (Davis Bacon) so that the no bid contracts he awarded to Bechtel & Halliburton allows even more profit at the expense of worker's wages? Is he praying that his speechwriters can somehow show him as engaged & concerned...it's only 2 weeks too late for those who died or those who had to live without food or water for 3 days before those in charge figured out that perhaps something should be done.
This is not to let those local & state officials off the hook, for even though Homeland Security/FEMA became the lead agency when the president declared a disaster area 2 days prior to Katrina making landfall, the local & state politicians had the responsibility to make a more concerted effort to assist in evacuation for those unable to leave. Why wasn't there food & water at the emergency shelters?
If I prayed, my prayer would be for all these phony politicians to receive the judgement they deserve.
