I need to make a big reaction post now that I've finally seen all the RTD era Who episodes and specials, but I haven't the inclination right now. Writing about RTD Who requires me to delve into ideas of humanistic versus post-modern thinking and my issues with RTD as a writer adn that's a bit of work. I'm working on an Amy plushie while starting in on rewatching series 5 from the beginning instead. Far more fun!
Isn't it interesting, in The Eleventh Hour, that Jeff is happy the Doctor is real, while Rory isn't? Sigh. I should make a big post on why I dislike Rory so much, and I should talk about the implications I see in that.
...also. I decided a while back that my personal canon is that part of the Doctor's fixation with Amy's forehead comes from the fact that that's how he does the psychic link thing in the incarnation: it's a forehead touch, like in the Lodger. So pressing his lips or his forehead to hers, it's him trying to get closer to her psychically as well as physically. I don't know why I'm sharing that now but whatever. Yay personal canon!
