when I hired you I also set aside $50,000 a year for legal expenses. So far you’ve come in under budget
Hm, must be what the whole Tritter thing was about? Wanting to make the most of this surplus?
Cameron is afraid of Cuddy.
Or her cleavage, at the very least.
Wow, Cuddy's office has changed so damn much. I think I prefer it now. (Scenes in her office are probably my favorite to icon. Love the colors!)
She knows how to work him. She knows ‘what gets him off.’ Because she wins. And because she's awesome.
Just because I wanted to hear (read) "I know what gets you off" again. And that's twice. And I'm certain that wouldn't be anywhere near as hot if, say, Cameron had said that. I love my House/Cuddy. And the chemistry that cannot be quelled.
No one calls anyone by their first names on this show.
I find it so jarring whenever I see first names thrown about in fanfic. It's so unnatural. WOULD they ever start using first names on a routine basis?
Oh, the lab coat is really not House's thing. But speaking of lab coats -- seriously, when I grow up, I want Cuddy's lab coat. Her pinstripe coat is bitchin'.
We need more outside-the-elevator scenes! (Is outside-the-elevator sex too much to hope for?)
I say outside-the-elevator foreplay, inside-the-elevator sex.
There's another WTF-flower on the lapel.
Save Cuddy from the torso-eating flowers!
See, the Vogler arc was good, as it tested all of House's relationships. But repeating it with Tritter was just... no. Handled better the first time, definitely. And yes, we really do need to get back to some cat-and-mouse games that House and Cuddy played in the first season. I think it's been lacking on both sides. But Cuddy definitely needs to catch up and win a few again.

I'm having trouble remembering, but did the Tritter thing have anything to do with money?
Wow, Cuddy's office has changed so damn much. I think I prefer it now.
Haha! My memory sucks! How is it different now? One of the couches is against the wall, right?
I say outside-the-elevator foreplay, inside-the-elevator sex.
FABULOUS IDEA!! Great job! That's the way it should be.

I second everything you said. Obviously I disliked Vogler himself, but I did enjoy watching the other characters react to his presence in the hospital. And the Tritter arc was EXACTLY THE SAME. And it was TERRIBLE. (The only difference being that Wilson was the Judas with Tritter, and Chase was the Judas with Vogler.)
It made me so happy in Fetal Position where Cuddy took the crazy, big risk and it worked out for her. But, on a smaller scale, if House convinces Cuddy to do something stupid (like, give him his bloody carpet back), she should get something from him in return, as season 1!Cuddy would've done. Perhaps not having him teach like she did in Histories, but having him do something, so that the balance of good and evil remains, well, balanced.
My only thought about the Tritter arc and the money was the legal expenses there -- I'm sure House blew through his allowance.
Cuddy's office... my memory isn't all that great. But, the furniture is different (actually, I was watching the Half-Wit repeat and I swear I saw one of Cuddy's office chairs at her house). The paint colors. Basically, I'm STILL looking at the one cap thinking, "wait, IS that Cuddy's office?" It's definitely got a warmer feel now.
The Vogler arc actually seemed to serve a purpose, testing the relationships AND having House actually see that despite his best efforts to keep people at a distance, he's still got people that will feel the wrath of the whatever (words are so failing at the moment). Tritter was a rehash of Vogler (and "Detox") -- and then nothing happened! Nothing really changed (well, there was all that blah blah, new guitar, no ducklings change thing) and the reactions, in the end, almost seemed like, "Oh, House, you silly guy, you! Can I offer you a Vicodin?" The show is all about House/Cuddy/Wilson (and some Chase), and I hate how things sort of drop. We don't get to see the repercussions of some things -- on the House/Cuddy end, I wanted to see them after House pushed Cuddy to tears in "Finding Judas," not to mention (and to a much lesser degree) what Cuddy's reaction was when she found out House faked brain cancer.
"Fetal Position" -- I love seeing the parallels of the whole practicing medicine thing between House and Cuddy, because I love seeing how huge House's influence is on her. And that she's the ultimate administrator who wants to be the rebel doctor that House is. It's very fun.
Yes, Cuddy getting even (in a more clever manner than declaring, "You owe me!" as fun as that is). And more reverse psychology. More rapid-fire snark. (Just more really) And yeah, season one Cuddy probably wouldn't have given House his carpet (or is parking space) back. Let's get some reciprocal manipulating going again in s4, please!
(Oh, and hi, they showed a teaser for s4 tonight. I don't think there was any Cuddy, but I wasn't paying attention at first.)
